Action reaction to the latest explore the relationship between these two, and how it relates to the path of self transformation. So in life, we can do two things, we can react, we can act. Since we already know what action is, let us look more closely at what reaction is. reaction is composed of our thoughts and emotions, things that are happening inside. When we react, we're generating these it's important to know that in every moment, we are experiencing some sort of reaction in one degree or another. And this truth will become clearer and clearer.
The more you develop self awareness, the more you develop stillness. practices such as meditation and yoga will help you greatly to develop these states of mind. Then every moment we And then experience and then every experience we're reacting to one way or another we can have big reactions such as winning a lottery we can have small reactions such as the lingering feeling of loneliness when we do absolutely nothing. Now, when we experience these reactions, we can responded within action. For instance, when we are angry, we can decide to express it or hide it. We will experience loneliness we can bring our friends and meet up with them.
So to summarize the relationship between these two action is what we can do at the physical level to respond to our reactions. So that's basically the relationship. Now let us talk about self transformation in relation to action and reaction. So as you can see, action has become the most common way for us to address any problems we face in life. For instance, when we face A situation with someone made us angry, we can get into a habit of thinking of ways to silver through actions, for instance, thinking of ways to punish that person, thinking of ways to avoid that person. But how many of us actually think of ways to address it at the reactional level so that we don't have to experience it again.
How many of us think of ways to transform that anger inside, you know, that is how you can truly be happy to don't, to not experience that negative reaction when a similar situation arises. So as you can see, our lives are not as self transformative as they can be. Because of the ways we have been solving problems in our lives. Now, I'm not saying that solving problems and reaction is good or bad. And just simply bring your awareness to the point that without addressing the reactions, the same situation may rise, and you may be angry again. I mean, for instance, in the past, I used to be so good at winning arguments I always wanted to win.
And I would keep arguing and arguing until I won because when I'm an argument, I experienced anger, through arguing with someone and making them loose and makes me happy again. But through doing these and never guaranteed me any everlasting happiness. The wedding was just temporarily, the satisfaction was only temporary the satisfaction I got from winning. It was only until I address the anger inside. I felt greater happiness because the real problem Is the anger inside it's not about winning an argument well not so in summary by knowing the difference between action and reaction will help you to become more clear about the journey of your self transformation. The journey is about transforming ourselves on the inside, rather than the world outside.
The greater work will always be done within this self. In the next video, we will explore what the self really is. And this will help to clarify and illuminate any darkness and confusion that you will encounter on your journey into yourself.
