Welcome to Video number five in the series and this time we will be talking about how to be more productive using a whiteboard or a blackboard. Remind yourself to be more productive every day. So how to be more productive using whiteboard or Blackboard? Well, number one is write down your yearly plans. And these might include things that you're looking to do. Maybe there are things you plan on doing maybe a vacation, maybe there are certain websites you want to create and be there are books you want to write.
Blogs that you want to create. writing them down is surprisingly surprisingly useful. I'll just give you a specific example for me it was to make a certain amount of money in a year. And because I wrote the thing down and because I looked at ways actually ways of achieving that. Fun you're not I actually surpassed the amount that I was looking for. Because I had it in my mind the number it's it was in my mind it was staring me in the face every single time I looked at that whiteboard number two is a draw an Objective Mind Map.
That means having a basic goal, a large goal in the middle of your of your whiteboard or Blackboard, and then using simple lines, writing down things that you can actually do to achieve that goal or that objective. Those could be many objectives, smaller goals. They could be certain actions, they could be websites, they could be books, they could be people, right, that's interesting writing down people that can help you achieve those goals. Objectives. Number three is to put down your daily expenses. This again was huge for me, because I did not really know what were my expenses were growing where, who, who was spending all that money.
And obviously it was always me. Having these expenses written down, allowed me to have a more objective look on things and say how well these there are a lot of money spent every single day. It made me think about ways of reducing the costs, or looking at the things that I was really buying, looking at the things I was buying and looking at the motives, the reasons I was buying those things of writing down your your daily expenses and optimizing them is a great exercise. fourth way to be more productive using whiteboards or blackboards is to write one inspiring quote every single day. Now, this could be something that you've all read somewhere, maybe in a book or online, or it could be something that you've been thinking about, and you're writing it down basically, for yourself. And the simple act of just writing things down for yourself means that you're sort of transmitting, you're sending yourself faults, you're trying to be more optimistic, and you will be surprised after after a few days or weeks that it will have it will have an impact, a positive impact on on your life.
Number five, draw something anything. This is interesting because, for me, I've always been sort of a person that likes to create things, write things down. I've not been known for a person that knows how to draw well. But that hasn't really stopped me from giving these this idea, a chance. I've always wanted to, to draw better. I don't think I've improved over the years, at least not by a huge margin.
But the simple exercise of drawing allowed me to go into a different state, right, if you believe the idea that we have a left brain and right brain, but one is more analytical and the other is more creative. It allowed me to use more of my creative brain every day, and sort of I was primed for the day to use that in my day to day life as well. Number six, sketch a game level. I'm usually very interested in Every single new game that's come, that's coming out. Even though I might not have physical time to play them all, I'm always interested to see how games evolve, how levels are different one from the other. And just sketching a level, whatever it may be, maybe it's a sports game.
Maybe it's an action game, and it's a strategy game just sort of allows me to think about challenges in my own life, where the bosses are how I should traverse a specific region of the level how to create maps, and sketching. Game levels has allowed me to develop my creativity in a way that I don't think people have been talking about online or heard anywhere else. Number seven, create a children's book cover. Again, going back to Things previous to this. Drawing a book cover, especially for for children is an exercise not just in creativity, but using the time to actually think about how you should create that for a specific audience. And in this case, it would be would be children.
I believe that if you managed to do this if you work on it every single day, and or over the weekends right in, in a certain amount of time, let's say in a month, you might have something that is quite intriguing and you might find yourself that hey, I actually know how to do this and you might not have thought about this in the beginning, but here you are after a few weeks or months. Having created something that you didn't think you're capable of number eight writes down all your sources of income. I've done this personally. And it was shocking because it I was doing freelancing a lot at the time I was working, I was doing a few other things for for other people. And it seemed like there were a lot of sources of income from either money definitely coming in. And then combining that with number three where I was putting down my daily expenses, I realized that it wasn't a problem with the amount of money that I was getting, but rather with the expenses that I needed to just reduce because it were a lot of money coming in a lot, staying staying at home or in my bank account.
Number nine is to draw a logo each weekend. This could be something that you're doing for yourself, or it could be stuffing for businesses, it could be part of a specific freelance project that you're doing. No matter what that might be. You could channel all of your information that you've gathered during the week, and simply let your creativity go in that specific weekend. And number 10, the 10th way to be more productive using whiteboards and blackboards is to create a rhyme a day. That means you will be playing with words instead of drawings and just trying to think about bonds and words and characters and letters and the way they sort of blend with each other the way they work will definitely activate a specific part of your creative brain and we will definitely feel like you You will think in in a different way from before.
