As your course comes to its Pinnacle, your instructor is going to set up what they call learning stations. Now the learning stations are just having them watch you hands on, treat the patients who are in cardiac arrest bradycardia tachycardia, probably talk about post arrest items, as well as providing you with mega code practice. This is just a practice session to set you up for the big mega code at the end of the day, where you will actually be running your own cardiac arrest. A lot of people get really nervous when all this is going on. The best way is just to stay calm and just think about what you're doing. You're learning something you didn't wake up in the morning and say, I'm perfect at this.
Nobody has so the cardiologists, the paramedics and EMTs nobody wakes up and they're a perfect person. All of us had to go through this process. So try and take a deep breath and just relax and know that you're going to make mistakes and it's okay and guess what, now's the time. To make mistakes because the people you're working on, they're dummies, so you can't hurt them. So this is a time to actually practice. So hands on.
They're also going to run you through a practice session for the mega codes. Again, it's really okay to make mistakes. That's what the practice session is for, is to get you used to the equipment and get you used to what they're looking for. I'm going to ask you for the mega codes don't typically last any more than five or six minutes or so depending on the instructor, but that time flies so fast. So focus on your learning stations, and then focus on your mega code, practice, make mistakes, but then fix them in your head. And when you get up to do your final mega code scenarios, you'll be perfect at it.
