Okay, the energy audit is a bonus. It is not entirely part of the life compass. And it doesn't come from me. Yes. So all the tributes goes to Tony Schwartz, who wrote a fabulous book that I strongly recommend called the power of full engagement. And what Tony Schwartz has done is create this little self assessment questions that help you to judge or to assess where you are on the energy scale.
So, you know, it's very straightforward. It's a few questions, and anytime you answer, yes, is actually a negative. So, what you do here each month is just go through the questions and say, you're in January and you just say, so I don't regularly get at least seven or eight hours of sleep and you say, No, I do. I frequently skip breakfast. Oh, yeah, that's true. I don't work.
Out enough? Nope. I have my four times a week, as you see before. I don't take regular breaks during the day. Yeah, that's true. I frequently find myself feeling irritable, impatient or anxious as we're at work, not necessarily.
And by the way, for the statements to be a no, all of it needs to be not true. So if any statement within the line seems to be true, you need to put a yes. So in the example here where it says you don't work out enough, meaning casual, at least three times a week and strength once a week. If you do cardio, but you don't do strength, strength, it is a yes. So what why do I put this in there? I realized during my coaching sessions that some people don't know where to start when it comes to writing down their personal goals.
They don't necessarily know How they can ensure that they've really looked at the whole spectrum of their wheel of life and that they really cover all the important areas for them. You know, sometimes it just doesn't come to mind straight like this. So I said, Well, for those who were looking for a little bit of inspiration and creativity, feeling this energy audit, and I found it quite useful, because wherever you have a yes, you have a call for action, and you have an opportunity to do something. And why don't you set yourself a goal to reduce your energy score? Yeah, by the way, as a as a general mark, from my experience in the groups where we've done the life compass together, when you have between five and 10 yeses, it's pretty good. If you're below five, it's exceptional.
Just to give you a benchmark, so yeah, this section is just to give you a bit of ideas and just to trigger your thinking Nothing more. Enjoy
