About the mythic Tarot. The mythic Tarot was created by Juliet Shannon Burke and Liz green and the illustrations were done by Trisha Newell and it was done in 1986. The idea was to take the traditional rider Waite style of the tarot cards and combine it with Greek mythology which holds all kinds of stories and everyday life lessons that we all go through in our own unique way. Each Major Arcana card represents a goddess or God from Greek mythology. Each suit in the minor arcana represents a story from mythology that we can relate to in our own lives, as well as following the traditional meanings. It's the blending of these things that I personally find helpful and interesting.

The stories make it easier to remember what the cards mean as well. And the artwork as you will see is very beautiful, too.
