Welcome back in this video we're going to talk about Craigslist scams and how to avoid them. Okay, so coming, it's good to know what's going on out there. It's good to know a to protect yourself also to make sure that you're not kind of getting into that scammy type of territory because the last thing you want to do is have your account ghosted or shut down, or any of that stuff and Craigslist is not that, you know, highly regulated. So there's a lot of stuff going on out there, and it's just good to know about it. You can also go to Craigslist, link to current scams, it's Craigslist.

As always, make sure you go through and read the Terms of Service and Craigslist condition. To make sure that you're staying in line with their protocol, because I also just want to give you a couple of things to avoid when you're buying and selling on Craigslist. You want to avoid money transfers, wiring money, or upfront money given to you, okay? You also want to avoid links that say click here.
Sometimes you'll hit a legit site. Sometimes you can look at the website and you'll know there was no thought put into building the site at all. Okay? So if you're looking for a job, check out the contact section, make sure that you watch out for companies that don't ask for a resume cover letter or other proof of your eligibility. Also, I'll put a link here underneath this video. Watch out for repetition.
If you see an ad over and over and over, then you know it's probably not legit. I can guarantee you this ad is posted several cities all over Craigslist. I also want to watch out for excessive pay, and we want to make a lot of money or at least what we would make outside the home and sometimes that's not possible. You don't want to get caught up in a scam because you thought you were being paid what you deserve. Sometimes it helps to humble yourself before you look on Craigslist because the $25 an hour jobs and $80,000 a year jobs just aren't really that realistic typically on Craigslist, especially when they promised long term
