This program includes videos and several documents to familiarise parents and preschool staff with Empowering Learning and the value of these skills. The object of this program is to stop primary children from dropping into Dyslexia because they have not learned this skill.
The principle of scaffolding is to prepare early years with visual literacy skills that match their visual strengths and hence when they move onto phonics, the phonemes will simply drop into their existing images of words.
This program was born out of 25 years of working with Dyslexics, each one of whom had not learned the skill to visualize words and found phonics teaching really difficult without this underpinning foundation.
You just have an interest in how we learn to spell and read.
