So grounding, also known as earthing is one of the most important things that you can do to support greater well being and happiness and also to reduce stress. Scientific research supports that direct physical contact with electrons on the surface of the earth impact our physiological and psychological well being in some pretty remarkable ways. Some of the benefits that they're finding include better sleep, pain reduction, better immune system, faster wound healing, less inflammation in the body, which causes chronic illnesses, the prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, stress reduction, enhanced creativity and better focus. So with that, I invite you to get comfortable for this next, grounding meditation. Preferably, you will do this outside if possible, you can either lie down on the grass or the Round or at least have your feet firmly planted on the ground whether you decide to sit in a chair or stand.

Some people actually like to lean against a tree or sit under a tree. The important thing is that you find a spot in nature where you can be undisturbed. And we're going to go through this next meditation. Now as an aside, if you have this on your computer, and you can't take it with you, at least try to go by a window or someplace where you can experience this meditation with some kind of view of nature. And after you've practiced this a number of times, you can likely go out in nature without having this recording, and just mentally go through the process of grounding meditation on your own. So when you're ready, let's get started.

Take a few deep breaths. inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose. When you're ready, imagine you're standing tall, like a tree with your feet firmly planted on the ground. Just like a tree, you are rooted and while your branches may sway from side to side, your base is stable. With your mind's eye, imagine that it is beginning to rain. It is a warm rain and you find it pleasant.

But instead of raining around you visualize the rain passing through your body. Starting at the top of your head and flowing down through your shoulders and arms, down through your torso and belly, through your legs and out through the soles of your feet. You may even hear the rain as it passes through. Now as the rain passes through you imagine that it is taking with it any stress, any negativity, any illness, anything that no longer serves you. It is carrying that energy into the earth to be recycled for a better, more beneficial purpose. keep this going for about a minute.

Feel your body relaxing as you wash away your stress. Now, imagine that the sun has come out and radiant energy and light from the sky begins to pour down over you, warming you as it passes through you. It brings energy to your face and neck, your shoulders and arms, down your chest, your stomach, your hips down your lip. And through your feet. Continue to imagine that energy coming in through the crown of your head and passing down through your feet. Make a few more passes of light through your body.

This time, notice how the energy centers of your body open up as if lighting up and removing any final blocks in your body. These energy centers begin at the crown of your head. Then your forehead, then your throat. Notice your heart center beginning to open. Feel your solar plexus expand your abdomen relax and then the base of your spine relax. Notice the energy flow through the soles of your feet as that energy flows through the soles of your feet Imagine your feet are growing roots.

These roots begin to expand downward into the earth, not stopping until they reach the earth's core. Just as a tree draws nutrients, water and energy from the earth, imagine those roots are beginning to pull in energy from the earth, drawing it into the soles of your feet and up through the energy centers of your body, passing through your legs, through the base of your spine, up your abdomen and solar plexus, up through the heart and chest, up through your throat, your forehead and out through the crown of your head. Notice that above your head, your energy expands upward like leaves and branches on a tree as they grow up work in life Imagine energy coming in through the heavens, down through the crown of your head. At the same time, visualize energy from the soles of your feet coming up from the earth. Allow both energies to meet and mix at the heart and continue onward.

The energy now flows back and forth. Let's repeat that one more time. Imagine energy coming in through the heavens, down through the crown of your head. At the same time, imagine energy from the soles of your feet coming up from the earth. Allow both energies to meet and mix up the heart and continue onward. The energy now flows back and forth.

Take a moment to take a few more deep breaths. Once again noticing how your feet are weighted and connected to the earth. You are grounded. gently bring yourself back to the present and open your eyes.
