In Outlook, we spend the majority of our time creating and reading emails and filing them. While we're working with our emails and sending messages out to people, it's nice to be able to have our calendar in view. So as we're following up with people who are asking us when we're available and so forth, we don't have to keep clicking back and forth. There's this great feature within Outlook that allows you to pin your calendars to the sidebar. In order to do this, what we're going to do is hover over our calendar. While we're hovering over it, it's going to bring up our calendar and show us what's going on.
But also in the top right corner, we've got a little box with an arrow in it, and that's what we want to click on. Once we click on it, it's going to add our calendar over to the right side of our window. And this is great because we could scroll through our calendar and see what we have going on while we're looking at emails. So if I needed to follow up on an email, I've got my email here. I can follow up on it. As I'm looking at my calendar Easy enough to do and then send it out.
If I want to have my calendar also available when I'm in say for instance, my tasks, I would come over to my tasks, hover over the calendar and pin it to the sidebar here as well. Now if I go back to my email, I've got my calendar available. And I've got it available my tasks, I close out of Outlook. Go back in. my calendar is still available on the sidebar for both email and tasks. So it remembers this after you close out.
Remember, dependent hover over the calendar, click on the box with the arrow and it's going to pin it to your sidebar or as it says dock the peak. So it's a peek at your calendar and it's going to dock it to the sidebar.
