So now we're going to be working on your very first Power BI solution. Okay, so I wanted to go through first the big picture on what we're trying to accomplish here so that you can have a high level view on what we're going to accomplish. So first things off is we're going to be starting with this data source. Over here we have the sales data, Excel workbook. And it has two tabs over here, two worksheets to be accessed one salesperson, right. And then we have the sales table, wherein we just show all the sales relating to a specific salesperson, okay?
So we have six sales people over here, and then we have the sales figures for each individual salesperson, okay. And what we're going to be doing here is we want to load this into Power BI, this spreadsheet over here, and then do some simple transformations. So let me just jump over to Power BI. And now once the data is all loaded in here, we'll be doing some Simple transformations, okay. And then once we're done with it, we'll load it into our data model. And once we load that into our data model over here, we'll be checking and making sure that our relationships are correct for our data model.
Okay, so this is the line over here for the relationship. And once we're good, we'll be going over to create our first visualization. And this is already based on the data that we have loaded into our data model. And once we're good, then you have your first solution complete. Okay, so I hope this excites you because I am and let's go over and start working on our solution.
