For this second class of the "In The Classroom With" series, I hope to show you how to get the maximum effect from the movement created in a rigged 2D character, digital environment.

Moho is a digital 2D animation platform that I admire and, although I personally love to produce high-level, traditional, hand-drawn animation when I can, I appreciate that most animators today will work in a digital environment. Therefore, I want to bring the best of my knowledge of traditional animation to students who want to make things move well digitally.

Digital animation software is amazing in what it can potentially achieve. However, learning software alone is not the way to becoming a master character animator. Software is just another tool, like the humble pencil, which should ultimately work in accordance with the animator's vision. It should never limit it. At the same time, the software is only as good as the person working it - and the skills they bring to the software. Software on its own does not do the work. This course, therefore - as with all my courses - seeks to supply you with all the foundational skills of art and animated movement that will take your digital animation to the next level.

I hope you'll enjoy learning what the great master animators taught me at the beginning of my career - and what I have proved over and over again throughout my career. I never had the benefit of having digital software at my fingertips throughout most of my career of course. But now I realize it's huge potential for the animators of the future, I sincerely hope that what I share with you here will enable you to move forward, quite literally, in ways I was never able to.

Happy animating

Tony.  :)
