Karen class in here. Okay, today I'm gonna be talking about dismantling your limited beliefs as we journey on the path of mental mastery. Now, have you ever had to pick up all your belongings and move to another city, or even across the country? Even if you were just moving across town, you would most likely have many boxes filled with your most valuable possessions correct. Sometimes people move several times during their lives. It's a lot of work right, requiring both time and organizational skills, a lot of letting go of fears, right.
And those unpacking and the clearing of the boxes and every move gives you the opportunity to let go stuff that you no longer need. Right or want now, how How would you feel if you moved into a house and never unpacked just imagine you never unpacked and you didn't move remove any of those boxes. So what if you just lived in those boxes cluttering your space for one year? How would it feel? Two years, five years, 10 years, 20 years. And and not even knowing what's in those boxes anymore, right?
This is what we do with our beliefs. So throughout your life, you've created beliefs, beliefs, or decisions that you made about who you are and the reality that you live in. And then you place those beliefs in boxes in your mind, and then you forgot about them. Please can become like cluttered cardboard boxes, filling the mansion of your mind. So your belief system is programmed from what you've been told to believe in your Parents when you were young, or from teachers from friends, and or the media, right? observations that you deem is truth, and then what you tell yourself every single moment, right?
Tony Robbins has a great quote, beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them, or when that literally saves their lives. So the reality that you're experiencing is kept in place by a belief structure. So beliefs are not necessarily true. Your belief system can create illusions and tricks, lack or abundance, resistance or love. Your belief system is either working against you or it's working for you.
The limited beliefs have More of a negative impact on your life than any other factor. So if you don't change your beliefs, your life will be like it is right now forever. The good news is that you can eliminate limiting beliefs and replace them with empowered beliefs. So in order for your belief system to work for you and create the life that you want, I highly recommend you become aware of those beliefs stored in that beautiful mansion of your mind, right? So with every piece you don't let go, you hold yourself back from becoming the person that you want to be right. The mind becomes filled with outdated ideas and dysfunctional decisions that leave no room for an expanded sense of self right.
Now to change anything, you first must identify it right? So expanding your awareness of what you choose to believe How you choose to think what you say and how you act is key to changing your limited belief patterns. It's time to believe and connect with those inner forgotten parts of you, right? confidence grows, the more you believe in yourself. So keep focusing on what you're good at and nurture those higher qualities that are within you. I remember years ago, I was watching.
It was a video DVD called, it was loving relationships by by Dr. Gary Smalley. And as I was watching him and the impact he had on his audience, I knew in that moment I wanted to be a speaker. Yet at that time I was I was so afraid of public speaking. I was so afraid that the first time that I went to Toastmasters and introduced myself I could barely get my name out. It took a lot of time and on A lot of inner work and clearing out the negative beliefs I had about speaking in public and all the fears, I was not worthy. I didn't know enough, I wasn't educated enough, I wasn't smart enough.
And I hadn't really dive deep to clear out all of those beliefs. And today I speak in front of large audiences. And instead of fear holding me back, I feel such a thrill to be of service and sharing my passion. So my point is, even though you may not be aware of the beliefs that are holding you back right now, just know that the more you dive in and have that learning attitude, you're going to discover all those beliefs are holding you back. And that can be in different areas, right? So there can be the areas around, you know, what do you believe about money?
What do you believe about love relationships, commitment, what do you believe about health right? So make a list of all the areas in your life where you feel challenged and where you are seeking change in your life. If you're not pleased with your life, a limiting belief may be the cause. Ah, take a deep breath in. Exhale slowly Hmm. I trust there was a gem here for you today.
