Use their name. The one thing that people like to hear most, no matter where, and what time or in what country is their name. Dale Carnegie, author of the most famous guide to charm ever written once said, The sweetest sound to a person's ear is their own name. You'll do well to remember that and apply it. You've probably noticed that most people don't use names during conversations. I urge you to be the exception.
For instance, greet someone with his or her name, or use their name when you ask them a question. He or she will love you for it. They won't know why, but they will love you for it. Doing this has the added bonus of helping you to remember that person's name. The next time you see them. Don't go overboard using the name or it becomes mildly annoying.
