So we've looked at how we can get assets for the environment. And now let's have a look how we can get assets for our central character or any other characters that you might choose to use in your game. We're going to use Maximo, which is a fantastic asset. At the moment, it's completely and utterly freely available for non commercial and commercial use. That will change sometime in the future. But at the moment, it's free.
Well, while it goes through, and development I guess, I'm going to log in. You might recognize this character here. I chose character is one of the characters that are available in all these different characters that you could potentially have. She's Eve, Vijay Gonzales. So the first thing you want to do is download the character in a T pose as an FX file format file. So you just download that and then you've got the character.
But you're also gonna want to get various different animations. So supposing you wanted a wall with this with a spin. And that's it. That's the dimension download. This time you don't want the scan you want it without skin. 30 frames per second is fine and key frame reduction.
Don't want that. So you can download that as your animation. So you go through them choosing various different animations, or you can search for animation. So let's let's search for a walk. I chose that one. And then what you want to do is you want to make sure it's in place so it's not making any movement in the probably the Zed axis, forwards and backwards.
So download that without skin. And then we're going to have a run. Can you just want that in place, and you just build up the various different animations you're going to you're going to want and you get them all as FX is. And you can see them all So that you have insurance Are you happy with them. And when we come to cold these, we can blend them together. So here she's picking up something but she'll blend into that from a walk or from a run seamlessly.
We'll just hardcourt. So it'll look very tidy. can choose to upload your own character. If you recall the polygon pack that we looked at from bit Jen, and is the, one of the nights if I drop it onto there, it uploads it. processes it. There you have it all weighted.
All ready to use animations that are available for mixing now. incredible results absolutely sensational. So now you We can apply an XML animation to the character we've just uploaded. Well worth looking at
