Okay, welcome back. In this video we'll look at how to use filters to manage information on your board. You can quickly sort things out using filters by accessing the menu on the right hand side. So for mine immediately jumps to here because Trello remembers the last view or menu section that I've looked at. But by default, you should see this first. So once again, by default, when you click Show menu, it will show the menu right here and look for this button right here.

Mine is saying search cards, but by default, actually, it should be filter cards. Now, I suspect that Trello has been experimenting with my Trello account and given me a different kind of view. But by default, if you don't find search cards button, you can look for a filter Cart button. They serve the same function. So click here. And then you can see all the filters that we've already set up previously.

Remember how we made the cleaning filter which is green and the pickup filter, which is yellow. So imagine if you have 100 cards on your board, and then you want to quickly find out which ones pick up easy, just click pick up. It shows right here that's a green indicator saying that there's three search results. So take it off. Let's say you want to look for cleaning That's one right there, one search result. So you can even combine these two.

So it's quite flexible in that sense. Next, you can also filter by assignee. So who is assigned to which task so you can even look at cards or tasks that has no one assigned to. This way, as a project manager or team lead, you can quickly identify which task has not been assigned to anyone and you can quickly address that. You can also look at, let's say your own task. And like right here I've assigned to tasks to myself.

And then you can also look at your teammates task. Pretty straightforward. Just like the other filter categories, in Trello, you can combine more than one selection Or in this case more than one assignee. So if you want to look at a bunch of team members who's doing certain amount of tasks, you can click on both the names, all the names, and then it will filter out for you. Next, we have filtered by due dates. pretty self explanatory right here.

Due next day you have due next week, I think I have one right here. Next month, so happened that it's going to be next month. And then anything that's overdue, you can quickly filter it if you want a faster way to see them. Because you have to imagine later on in the project, you have hundreds of cards and it's just so difficult to keep track without getting overloaded. And this Filter function just quickly sort things out for you. You can even fill out things as no due date.

And as mentioned before, you can even combine these things. However, for the due date section, you can't really combine these different due date filters, which is fine, I don't think you're going to need that level of complexity. Last but not least, you can even create more specific filters, which matches all labels and all members. So it's very strict or it's a bit more loose, it matches any label and any member it will still show the results. So like I mentioned before, you can combine the filters to create pretty interesting results and they will be situations where you will need it. I can't seem to have any results right now.

So as I mentioned before, you can combine different filters. So let's say we have a cleaning task, pick up task. So there's no one having this task right now, but it's here. As long as it falls under some of these filters and labels, it will show some sort of result with this setting on which is the default and I think it's going to be used most of the time. So when you want to reset the results, you can hit this green icon at the top here and it just clears the filter. Or you could go down here and click Clear filter.

We just proved be straightforward. Yeah. So that's it for filters.
