Welcome back. In this video, we're going to have a look at browser extensions that can enhance your Trello experience. So very similar to the Telos powerup. You can have also extensions on your web browser itself. So to do that, head over to Google and search for Chrome extension, and then you can click on Chrome Webstore. And over here, you can search for the Trello extensions, make sure you select extension, if not, you're searching for themes which are more visual and graphical kind of add ons.
So here can click and type in CRO. And you get a couple of search results right away. And very similar to the powerup store, you can have a look at the description and have an idea of what the particular extension would do to your Trello board. You only see a few results, but if you click More extensions, you should see all the results available. So as you can see here, I can scroll down, and there's quite a few things here. So to add one of these extensions, were simple just click on Add to Chrome.
I already have a few added. So I can click here. Go to Settings Click on extensions. And then I can find the ones I've already added previously but I deactivated for the purpose of video recording. So I have elegant here, it's a gun chart four Trello. So for those of you who don't know you Gantt chart is musically using the waterfall methodology.
And it literally looks like a stack of timelines like a waterfall. So you can visually transform your Trello cards into another view where you can view that separately as waterfall format as long as you put in the due dates and start dates so let's see once I have here at the Melo, this is pretty good. So once that's on, go back to the Trello board and hit refresh. And then you'll see that I have certain things that are not there by default. So for example here I have a counter for my list now, for I have two here and two at done. I can even create something called connections.
So inside one of the cards, you can click here and this allows you to set this card as a child or parent to another card. This helps you in another form of grouping of your cards. So for example, I can declare that cleaning up the kitchen is a parent. And I want to select the children of this card for this task. I can click on Edit. Now I can select, say fix the washing machine and then done.
So whenever I look at clean up the kitchen, there's a new indicator here in the middle that says that that lists down the various children attach to this. So one more time we can add another one this for an example here, see edit. Let's see fix the door because fixing the washing machine is already selected previously. We're just going to add Fix the door. click on Done. All right now clean up the kitchen is a parent and the child would be fixed washing machine and fixed door.
So this shows the relationship between the cards and help you realize which cards are dependent on which one. To be honest, I hardly use this but there are some situations when your project becomes more complex, and you start grouping parent and child cards to see clearly the connections between them. If you want to remove the relationships between parent and child, you can click here and delete. Click Save Although they'll still be some here, you can remove them from here and click on connections. Edit, select key navigation again. It's no longer blue.
Now it's no longer the parent. So have fun exploring different extensions and I'll see you in the next lesson.
