So let's look at the platform builder in greater depth. What are the characteristics? What type of person is going to be suited to? To be in a platform builder? Obviously, we haven't looked at everything. We're just some general guidelines here.

They like to be social online. What do we mean by that? They're gonna have to practice social media marketing. They tend to have a high attention to detail. They build websites, they deal with analytics and research focused, data driven. The psychologically astute, they understand the way people interact with their platforms, and they know how to create a platform to take advantage of that they will have good writing skills.

You need good writing skills to build a website platform, good copy skills, and they tend to niche to certain topics, they tend to find an area where they can create niche interest and build a platform around that niche subject. So the content creation types are often blogs. specialist websites or YouTube channels. So obviously a blog is a place where you can daily, weekly post, and it's not a full website. Typically though, the best way to blog is blog on your own website, or they will create a complete specialist website. And then there's YouTube channels, YouTube channels a little bit different because you don't own them.

So they're, but they are a platform that people use. So the basic strategy is they create social engagement. They drive traffic back to the platform, and they're very good at capturing data. And then they earn commission from selling other people's products on their platform. They create niche content platforms, as we've mentioned, websites, blogs, YouTube channels, but they're always niche content platforms. They tend to target a specific group or type of customers.

Or interest or niche. So what you're going to need to learn if you're going to be a platform builder design principles, you need to understand website psychology, website flow calls to action, you're going to need an understanding of basic HTML and CSS. A lot of websites now can be built with the weak principles or what you see is what you get when you drag and drop. And you don't need to know lots of HTML. But you will need to know some because there's times you'll need to insert code, you'll need to add add words, add blocks, not necessary add words, but add blocks or affiliate links. And all even though many websites now moving to that type of interface, still need an understanding, a basic grasp of HTML and CSS, but don't be daunted by that it's not as hard as it sounds.

And a lot of it you pick up as you go along as you're developing, and you get a problem and then you'll figure How to add a bit of HTML to your website etc. You need to understand keyword strategies. You need to understand how to find the right keywords how to place them and how not to overplay them. copywriting really, really important and you will definitely definitely need to learn about social media marketing. You'll need to learn about paid advertising, how you're going to get revenue, how to sign up to some of the programs out there, how to set up, create affiliate marketing, how to find people that have got affiliate product for you to sell on your website.
