Verse number three is really just kind of a baseline that he plays over the whole, the whole verse, and he's gonna play over the G, the C and the D over the one, the four and the five. Let me just play it all the way through one time, and then we'll, we'll take it apart. And that is verse number three. And basically what we're doing is just playing over the chords. This is the first chord, the G, the one that we're going to play over the second position barre chord of the four, which is the C, and then we're going to do the same over the D. The very first note of that third verse here. gonna slide into it from the second fret to the third fret on the sixth string.
And if you listen to the original recording really carefully, you'll hear that and then he's gonna play five, three on the fourth string to the fifth fret on the fifth string. So it's kind comes back, this time to the third fret of the sixth string without the slide. Just place that there and then when the song goes to the floor, he's just gonna move his first finger to the third fret of the fifth string, move everything as string over so he's going, five, three on the third string to the fifth fret on the fourth string. Like that, and then back to the one that's the G. Then when he gets ready to go to the five, what I hear is Oh, he's gonna pick the fifth fret The fifth string which is a D twice to get into the fifth fret, or the five smoothly, so you got this now we're playing over the D, we're going seven, five on the third string to the seventh fret of the fourth string.
So it's like this. The C, the bass note the third fret of the fifth string. Back to the one there again, a Freddie's either playing just the one note fifth fret of the fifth string, whoops. Like that, where it might be playing the D seventh chord. all or part of it sounds to me more basic. So I'm hearing that when I played the song, I would play the seventh chord really the fifth and the fourth string to wrap it up.
So let's play that whole verse slowly. Let's do it one time all the way through. That is the end of first number three.
