Now we come to the bridge of Freddie's midnight drain, which is really, really cool. And he's gonna go from the, from the one when he starts the bridge to the four, and he's gonna play this first lick by doing this. And so what I'm doing here is I'm sliding over the first position C bar chord, just playing the second and third strings. You could start that slide. From about anywhere, I think the easiest place to start is from maybe the sixth or the fifth or the seventh fret, so you're going to end up on the ninth fret of the third string. Then you're gonna get the eighth fret of the second string twice.
And then we're gonna ban the 10th fret of the first string, I'm using a three fingered band wind up on the eighth fret band in bringing it back down and releasing, pulling off a little bit to the eighth fret. So that whole it goes like this. And that's how he starts the the bridge part and it's gonna go up here twice on the same slide twice on the second string, eighth fret and he's gonna come back to the third fret of the second string and play that so I'm going And then the third time around, he's gonna go back to that same slide to the ninth fret of the third string twice on the eighth fret of the second string. Think he goes back to the eighth fret, so a quick band on the 10th fret of the first string something like that, and then I hear so he's coming back to the second third fret of the second string fifth fret, third fret fifth fret, second string, third fret first string.
Do not bring it down. winding up on the fifth fret of the second string, then he's gonna go into this which is really neat. And what I'm doing is bending and picking at the string as a band. So I'm bending up. That Last Lick, I'm bending out, bringing it down to the fifth fret, putting some by Bravo on it. So let's try that whole thing again.
The whole last part of the of the bridge then it leads into the next word. And then plays the final verse of the song. So there is the bridge part for Freddie kings. Freddie's midnight three. Let's try to play it all the way through one time just for the heck of it. We don't have the backing track to see how we do.
So we start out. That's really close to what he's playing. Listen to the original tune and see if you can get those little nuances down. I tried to tap him. For you, the best I could. So there is the bridge part and we'll come back and do the final verse here in just a minute.
