Now let's start with manipulating objects in SketchUp. So I'm going to start with Select and Move tools. So about this select, select is the first or tool that comes automatically when you open the SketchUp. Here, this is the Select tool we can see here in the icon. Also under the Tools, we can see the Select. And also here we can see the space, which is its hotkey, that is shortcut.
So whenever we are in some other tools, like click pencil, so I want to revert back to select just click space, and you went back to select. So next is how to select a particular objects. It's really simple, you just have to click left click on a particular object. And now you are able to select this particular option and if I want to select this Particular showcase, you can select a for one to select table, I'm able to just left click on the particular subject that you want to select. Now I want to select multiple objects. So what I will do, I will just drag my mouse and under the window, it will select everything.
So here we can see, it's really simple to select everything at once. And and I want to just want to do proper selection, just not everything inside this I will just want to do some specific selection. That is precise selection. If I want to select I want to select this year, this face and this year. I can just left click on this hold Shift key and you you can see there it is. Some plus and minus you can with comes with our along with our cursor.
So when we again left click left click here and then again left click here. So now we can see we have done some precise selection here. And along with that we have option to do precise decent selection. We just have to do the same what we did for the selection, hold the shift key and click on the subjects we have selected and it will deselect. If I want to deselect in this face I will just left click it and it is deselected. So it's really simple for us to select and deselect.
And what the next tool I want to discuss is move to move tool we can find it here and also the Getting Started toolbar. I must recommend you this large tool set here you can find most of the required tools that you use in our SketchUp modeling and next is Move tool. So, we can click here and now the cursor has changed to move to and in this tool we can just hover around the objects you can see it changes are how the objects react when we hover around. So, there are there are some certain options that we will discuss further. But, when we left click on particular model, now it is locked. So, we can move our model in particular directions, in the direction whenever, wherever we require.
But when I'm moving it you can see I it is constrained to the axis that we already have here. Like, it is red axis, it is parallel to it is parallel to green axis. It is perpendicular going to Z axis. So, even if I teach I just hold Shift, you can see how the lines become thicker it means it is it will always move in this particular direction, always move along on this green axis. So, when I left it and it just gave me freedom to move on the all 360 degree dimensions. So, if I want to, I want to this even moving multiple objects is really simple.
I want to select this to cheer and I want to pull it backwards backwards, just hold this and drag it behind. So, you can see how simple it is to move objects in SketchUp. Now move moving objects through moving objects, we can do another thing to copy and replicate new objects from themselves. Like, if I want, I want to deprecate another chair out of it, I will just keep pressing. First I will go to mo command and then I will press CTRL button. Now you can see the there is a plus sign with mu command, and when I left click it and just drag it another chair comes out of it.
So, it is easy to copy a new element from our original one and replicate it in the required a 3d model you want to use. So it is easy to use, easy to replicate and quite handy to create some stuff that you need to replicate Faster. And that's it for this and it's so Try it. Try this tool by yourself, make yourself comfortable with these tools. As you get more and more experienced and comfortable with this tool. It will help you to model faster and you will enjoy playing with these tools.
