The line tool in SketchUp can also be used to create 3d drawing. That is, in SketchUp. We have seen in the previous video, we have created a 2d plane here. Now in this video, we will try to make a 3d object out of line two. So let's get started. So now we'll select line tool already just dirty plus and now we had the you can see the line tool got activated.
And now we'll try to make a 3d model. Just I'll click on the line, left click and we will make a square or a rectangular base. You can see how it is snapping at the corner. And now we have a plane. I hope you would have understand in the previous video and now I will just go Print to this particular Z axis to make my 3d model. So, I'll just click it here and I will drag till here just I will what I will do, I will when I tracked it here you can see there is another dotted line which was paler to the base.
So, we have it act as a guideline and now we can see now, we have to plane one plane that is parallel to the base of our plane and one is the orthogonal to that particular plane. So, we will do the same with other for ages. This make it like this and rejoin it like this. You can see The whenever we make complete the four edges, indeed is a plane in between them. So it's quite easy for us to make plane as well as edges. Now, till here when I draw, we have a guideline or a dotted line that guides us we have reached the height of this adjust that we have created earlier.
So I'll just left click it here and I'll make connected and another line I'll make to connect. Now you can see we have obtained a proper cuboid here and this is one of our 3d model we have created by simple line. Now we'll make it more complex. Now you can see when my line tool is active when I get I'm trying to snap any new point at the center of this particular age, we have midpoint. So whenever we draw a line, the SketchUp help us to identify the midpoint we have in each line we have made. So I just tried to cut my hair and from here I'll make new blue axis.
And from there you can see we can snap and we'll create another plane. And now we can just join this and now we have another addition in our base that we have created earlier. So It's an it is an angle another, we have an option to create and draw more things on the line. Now you can see there is a violet line and when I tried to draw it, it is letting me know that I am trying it perpendicular, so the parallel only to this particular line and it is helpful for me and I will draw a square or a rectangle here. And now I'm able to draw a square. So this is how we create a 3d model of fit by line command.
And I request the viewer the students to try it by yourself. And it's quite simple for you to make anything 3d with just line Come on. It is a Quite simple, but once you excel in it, it is quite helpful for you because you can create many things with just a simple line command. So it will be beneficial to you to learn it as soon as possible and get yourself comfortable with it. So we'll see the new thing in the next chapter. Thank you
