In this video, we are going to see how to design a globe. We are also going to learn the basic concepts of assembly. So let's start. First of all, let us take the basic shape of this sphere. I'm selecting the sketching plane, and I'm giving the diameter. All these dimensions are only approximate.
I'm going to create a sketch which will help me in creating this stand. I'm dreaming of the extra portions modifying these dimensions This portion is going to be an extrusion. I'm trying to join it linearly and changing the offset radius and giving the same offset length here. So you can see I've created this portion. Now I'm going to extrude it. I'm going to extrude it symmetrically.
Now if you see, in the operation, I have new body option. So in the browser, you can see that two bodies are created. Now one body, I'm going to change it as component. And the second body again, I'm going to change the test component. And I'm going to name this you can see in the browser that we have this new file called globe and beside this, we have this notion This is actually for assembly. So now our file has converted into an assembly file, where we have two components.
Minus a sphere and the other reset base. Both of these components have been created using the bodies that we have previously seen. So, if we need to make modifications to this fear, I have to right click and see activate. So now I get the symbol for the Activate component. And so whatever features I'm going to add now will be added to this component. Similarly, I can activate base.
Or if I want to perform some assembly operations, I can right click on glow and click activate. So this circular thing in between with the.is going to tell us which is the active component and all our features will be applied to that component. Whether it doesn't necessary family or it is an individual path.
