Welcome back, everyone. All right now we're going to be doing securing switch access. Now we've done this in the past, because we're talking about port security, regular old port security, where we can use a sticky command, we are going to manually put a manual or MAC address there. But we also want to talk about port based authentication for beta syndication, which is really dealing with triple A authentication using a RADIUS server to go ahead and authenticate a user before they actually go in and get access to the network. So that's why it's good. That's what's going to deal with.
And then using storm control, again, your iOS that you have on your switch will need to be able to have that command available for you to do it, but we'll look at it we'll explain it we'll see what it is and then We'll get something funny. Look at best practices for security switches. Everybody has their own idea or what securing switches. You know, there's again, best practices. Okay? Well there Cisco says, Hey there, this is what you should do.
Okay. But again, for every company, everything is different, but for certification purposes, I doubt it. They'll ask you any questions on best practices? Because that's very vague question, because again, it's different for everybody else, but we'll take a look at it and see. So with that said, now you know what we're going to go over. I'll see you in action.
