All right. Welcome back, everyone. We talked about syslog. Now we're talking about SNMP, four switches. Now before we get into this whole thing right here, all right, I can tell you right now, I tell you this right now. third party software is what's going to save you.
This is your certification. Okay, so you have an idea what syslog is you have an idea what SNMP is. And then you have to put a couple commands in the router to make a work like NTP and Syslog and all other stuff, okay. But you're going to have third party applications out there, such as solar winds, and all these other applications that exist, that every company is different that they use to analyze all the stuff to, hey, I want to click on SNMP I want to manage these devices. I want to look at this particular port. That's So you're going to do I'm going to be looking at bar charts, line charts, pie charts.
And I know you heard me say this before, if you take, you know, my other courses, alright, so don't freak, this is for your certification. All right, it gives you a good understanding of it, it will give you okay if I have to go on the router this or to do with other switches what I do, but again, this SNMP SNMP, and Syslog has been around for a long time. Now we're going to discuss SNMP. Again, the basics of it, right? system roles, data organization that operations and SNMP versions, because there's three versions, right SNMP, version one, version two, C, and version three. Okay, configuring SNMP.
I'm just going to explain the steps and commands required to configure each SNMP version. All right, your packet tracer will not support everything. Okay? So we'll basically talk about it. All right, we'll look at the configurations and what it is that you need to do. Alright, so that's it.
See the next one.
