Hi, welcome back to this tutorial. In this tutorial, I'm going to introduce a feature of Google form called add ons. add ons add additional features to Google Form apps. So instead of just restricting yourself to the features that are provided by this app by default, you can explore and add multiple to your form by using any of the add ons. add ons are created by some other developers and and each add ons sell a particular purpose. There are already so many add ons available for Google Forms.

Among those in this particular video, we are going to talk about an add on called Advanced summary for Google Forms. First of all, I'm going to explain you how you need to install an add on in order to install an add on, click this more button and then click the add ons option available here and this will open a new pop up where you'll find different add ons which include form Ranger form publisher form notifications and more. Search for advance. Summary by are some tools and open this add on to install it and gain more information about it. You can also read reviews about the add ons. Also, you can read Overview in order to get an idea about the application of this particular add on, advanced summary by as some tools can be used to create charts, tables, and also to watch the timestamp of the form responses.

And moreover, you can embed whatever the summary that you create using this add on onto your website. Here, on the top, you will find this button called install, click that it will open up another message. And you have to click Continue. And it will open a new page where you need to log in with your ID and give some permissions to this add on offer giving the permissions and we'll get back to the Google Forms app and click Done So, let me close this pop up. Now in order to launch that add on, you have to click this add ons icon. When you click it, it will display the list of add ons that you have installed.

For this tutorial, I'm going to use advanced summary by awesome table. Before launching that add on, I want to talk about the form that how open this is a form that we have created in one of the tutorials. Here the user can select a candidate for the college elections are about four responses. And you can see this beautiful pie chart being shown here which describes the old chair of particular candidate. So it has about four responses and let us try to show this data or using the Add on that we have installed All just now, so let me open this add on. And after that, click this option saying open or edit summary.

This add on has open a small tab on the right hand side and here, select the data for which you want to have an advanced summary and click this button saying open summary. This will open a new tab and you will have a preview of how the summary will be. So this is how you will have a pie chart and on the left hand side you will have a timestamp. The timestamp graph shows the responses based on the time are you how and indeed button available here and when you click that, it will allow you to edit this advanced summary In the view configuration section, you may choose another option saying table and click Update view. And this will show you the data in the form of a table. I'm going to select Advanced summary again.

And below the visualization tab, you will have the Layout tab where you can change the layout of different elements present on the summary. And when you click Update view, then you will have the advanced summary where the filters are on the left hand side and the chart is on the right hand side. When you open this advanced parameters option, then you will have an option here to allow or not allow the Viva is to download the data in a CSV format. So when you switch On this option, then then the user can click this more button and download the data as a CSV file. When you switch off this and click Update view, then that option will disappear. In the formatting section, you can make changes to the date format in the date filters are shown here.

So these are some of the changes that you can make for a view that you desire. And after making all the changes, you can either preview or else you can right away share this. In order to share it just click the Share button. It will generate about dealings one link is to share this and another one is do allow others to edit. You can even embed this summary charts on your website by copying the code available here. So, as in the previous case that I have explained you, you may use the link of the responses or else you can use this add on in order to create your own customized summary about the form.
