Hello guys, and welcome to my Cambridge English advanced, see one advanced video course. In this lesson, I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to do from now for your book the exam before you get to the exam, to prepare yourself in the best possible way, I'll show you some really useful resources to use. I'll also show you what level you need to be at in order to book the exam for confident going in. And I'll show you how to book the exam. Firstly, I just like to say a massive Congratulations, you've completed this video course up till now, we've made a great start on preparing yourself in the best way for the CA or C one advanced exam. So Great job guys well done.

And as I said, In this lesson, I will tell you the best resources to keep preparing yourself and what you need to do and what level you need to be at and then how to book the exam. So the first thing I suggest is that you learn an exam strategy. This is really important to know the strategy. But if you followed these lessons up until now, then you've already done this completed all the homeworks and done all the video lessons before. Hopefully, you'll be well on your way to knowing and remembering and being able to use the exam strategy. So good job.

Okay. So you should use the strategy you learned in this course in the previous lessons to complete a course book. So, buy a course book and I recommend some in the next few minutes. And with this course Look, look at the tips I gave you for for part one of the exam and use these tips to complete the part one exercises from the course. So this course book, if you type this web this link in your in your web browser Go to this web address. This coursework will focus you on the important grammar and vocabulary that you need for the exam.

And it will give you plenty of practice, what would the exam exercises. So yeah, use it, use the tips I've taught you for every part of the exam to complete the parts of this exam from this course book. The listening to these though, quite expensive, this course book, but you can find free listening samples on YouTube. And here is an example I found earlier, you could type this into your web address that a free listing you can do, then you can use the tips and techniques that I taught you in the listening lessons to complete these exercises. Now, this is also a cheaper alternative to the course book above. But it's a bit different because it doesn't have the grammar explanations which could be a bit of a negative if you want to read and learn about the grammar doesn't have those explanations.

But it does have a listening CD with about 14 listening tracks. So yeah, pros and cons. If you want, you could buy both books. Then what you should do is specifically target your weak areas of grammar. So, this is what I'm telling you to do from my experience because a lot of students I found find the use of English section particularly difficult and this is where you really need to know your grammar rules. And so here is a really good book that you can use for extra grammar practice.

If you type this into your web browser, this address Yeah, there is a really good book there for extra grammar practice. And also, this book is really good for grammar practice as well. I recommend both of these books. Prepare yourself really well, by both and try to complete the grammar exercises in both. Okay, then the next thing you need to do is to measure your progress. How can you measure your progress?

Well, I think it's really important to practice this with real tests. That's how you judge whether or not you're ready to take the exam. There's two ways of practicing with real tests. You can either book some lessons with me, and I'll tell you, I will tell you, whether you're whether you're ready to knock the exam and we can do some tests together, we want to and you can do this by emailing me at admin at student languages COMM And I can also give you give you feedback about the speaking exam, which you can't get from a book. So I can tell you if you're ready to pass the speaking exam or not. A course book will not be able to do this.

For, you can buy a practice test book. And if you choose this option, then I recommend this textbook for you. This is what I've used in my students. And I know it's a good book. So if you type this web address into your browser into Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer, etc, find this test book. This is really good.

You can complete the test and you can see what marks you're getting, and whether you're ready to pass the exam or not. But as I said before, it won't. It won't help you with the speaking part, but cannot tell you if you're ready for this. If you're if you're ready to pass the speaking part. I can. So if you've completed all of the steps above, and you've measured your progress, you need to begin testing 60% plus 60% plus is the average you need to get in all sections of the exam. And all the exam papers, I recommend my students are really getting 70% Plus, it's an extra bit of confidence during the exam. And then yeah, if you're getting 60% Plus, yeah, then you're ready to book your exam, which is great news. So you'd be if you want to book your exam, this is how you do it. Most of my students actually do the exam in Cambridge, work in the UK, and a lot of them do the exam in Cambridge City. But obviously, you could be anywhere in the world.

Luckily for you, there are lots of test centers around the world. And so if you want to do your exam in Cambridge, if you live in the UK, and they came to us do your exam that this is the website I use, you can type this link into your web browser. But if you're from another place live in another country or another city, then you can use this website. Find your nearest exam center. So type this website address into your web browser, the internet and you can find your nearest exam center.
