In this lesson, I'm going to teach you about the preferences and the add ons that you can add on in blender. So we have the 3d printing add on and the boule tool add on that we're going to use for this entire training series. And so to add those on, you want to go to your edit, and preferences. And from here, you have all different things you can change and you can mess around with any of those you want, but go to add ons. And what you want to do is in the search for the add ons, you want to type in 3d. And make sure you have mesh 3d print toolbox checked, and then hit save.

And then you also want to add, just type in bool. And that will give you the object bool tool, and we're going to use that to add and subtract objects together. So just make sure you have both of those checked and then hit Save preferences and hit X. So you should see them pop up on the side here for 3d printing in tools. And this one here is just so you can see which mouse clicks I'm doing so you don't have to have that one. Let's go ahead and jump into the next video mainly geared towards people who have been working with Blender in the past maybe older versions of blender.

So this is just a caution about backwards compatibility. Let's keep going
