Okay, welcome in this lecture at first I want to consider the slide dimensions. For that I'm opening a blank new presentation file in PowerPoint. When you are within PowerPoint, if we want to design for Instagram, for Instagram stories, we will use Full HD but turned like on the phone. Or if you want to do Instagram post, you want a 1080 by 1080 square here, how to change the dimensions of a PowerPoint slide. It's pretty simple. You go to design.

Then on the very right side, you select slide size, you go to custom slide size, and there this screen opens. Now, sadly PowerPoint tells this interest. Why don't we have this in pixels? I really do not know. It should be selectable But currently, we have In interest, so let's work with that. I have established that if we want a full HD image because this is a normal HD image, we want 20 inches by 1125.

So just do the same sizes here, the height will be 20 inches and the width will be 11 inches and a quarter. So this will be a turned portrait, full HD video right now we have nothing here on the slide. So we can either click maximize or ensure fit, and this will be it on the right bottom corner. I can zoom this out and you see what I get. I get this upward position rectangle, which will be perfect for our Instagram stories. Now depending on what you want to design, you can of course, adjust this to be a square or to be something different.

Now you know how to do this. To recap, go to design, slide size, custom Slide size. And here on the left side you have the custom width and height, okay, this would be it for the warm up for the first lecture. In the next lectures and upcoming lectures, we will work towards getting the proper resources to make our perfect design and then we will slowly crawl towards this design, it shouldn't be any problem.
