So let's talk about avoiding burnout. Now, first thing we've got to understand and recognize that as an online entrepreneur, the first thing we're going to sacrifice a lot of times at holidays, struggling for money, or struggling to find time or working hard. The first thing is going to go out a holidays. We're going to say, can't afford a holiday this year. And I draw from 15 years of experience. It's the first thing that gets sacrificed.

But we need rest. We're made in a way that if we continue to work every day of the week, we're going to burn out. Now this has been supported scientifically. If you go on line you'll find studies on having one rest day a week. Scientific studies that show that is optimum. So me personally, you're going to see me on a Friday since it's a Saturday since that go dark you won't see me you won't see See me online, you won't see me interact.

And why is that? Because I'm a Sabbath keeping Christian. That means one day we, I don't work. I just do not work, I switch everything off, I disconnect. And then the last, you know, 10 years that has saved me from burning out when I've been under extreme pressure, having not one day a week, or a step away, has been paramount to me surviving the pressures on time. And this is why people burn out.

They don't have any rest. And I would say one day a week is a minimum. Think about it. That means you've got six days a week where you can work but one day a week is a minimum. A lot of people look at taking one day a week off, especially entrepreneurs are driven. And, and you might say, Wow, maybe a few hours, maybe a half a day, but that's not going to do it because you're still engaged.

Mentally, emotionally, physically, you're still engaged, you're not resting. You're not taking time to heal from the exertions that you're going through every week. And here's another thing when people, you know, take time off, we said a friend and she wasn't entrepreneur, but she worked. And we said to her, you know, she's always tired. She's always worn out. And I said, When do you take a day off?

She says, Well, I took one offs. I said, What did you do on Saturday when she said, she said, Well, I went shopping, I came home, I did the washing, I did. The, you know, I did the housework. We didn't have a rest. When you take one day, a week off, try and spend that with family and friends and relaxing. Do something that's going to break the pattern, but don't exchange one type of work for another.

Because you're still working, you're just doing different tasks. So you need to try and borrow If you want to avoid burnout, by making sure that his time and if you've got a family, this is a great time to actually connect because in the week you're gonna be busy. It's gonna be difficult to give them a time if you take that one day weekend as a family so this is our day. You know what, your family will be happier for it. And the other thing to do is assign holiday time. So when you look ahead in the year you want to sign a week off so you're going to take a week off now you might not have any money, you might not be able to go anywhere fancy.

But assign holiday take a week off anyway do something relaxing, do something that is a complete waste of time. And this is so counterintuitive. I was only talking to Philomena about this the other day because Philomena was very driven. And I said to her, you need to do something that's a waste of time. I just thought well, that's really difficult, you know, and that goes against all my belief systems. You guys You need to disconnect.

So you can take one day a week, but eventually you're just going to need to take a week off or you're just going to need to disconnect. Do something you love doing. You know, whether it's fishing, whether it's reading a book, whether it's playing a computer game, whatever it is, do something you love doing. That's obviously positive. But don't be frightened to waste your time.
