So let's get up now and we're going to do the smudging. And so in the handout, the PDF that you guys got about the, how to cleanse a house, there are several different smudge forms of smudge mentioned in that particular handout. Today we're just going to work with sage, which I like and you can get Sage in a stick like this, this is kind of a small one. smells really nice. Yeah. And then, so if you, if you light the whole end of the smudge, it's going to take quite a long time to get lit and then it's gonna take it's gonna be pretty hard to put it out and it's gonna make a lot of smoke.
So oftentimes What I'll do is I'll just break off a few pieces, and that's what I did here. And, and you can get a shell like this, or maybe a flat stone to put the smudge in. And then I like with these really long lighters that have a big flame on them to light the smudge. So what we're gonna do, is I'm gonna have you stand over here, right here, and you could stay next to him. Okay, and Michael, won't you come over here for a second. So this is what smudging is for.
When we do smudging. It cleanses our energy field and helps us to feel lighter. So we're going to leave behind our day, all the stress that we felt from earlier today. We're just going to leave that behind. So there's there's something you're doing with your mind when you do this. Whereas The person who's receiving the smudging is actively letting all of their stress go up in the smoke.
And the person who is is doing the smudging, is thinking about cleaning their energy. So you're using and then the property of sage is that it does that like it just cleans things. That's why people use Sage in the first place to clean out your energy. So if you can hold your arms out like this, or Hey, I appreciate it. And I get this lit up here. And then when I'm doing smudge, I imagine I take my hand or a feather and put it over their head.
So and you you can maybe close your eyes and just imagine that you're releasing all the stresses you might be thinking of and I go down the arms and make sure to get the palms down the front here, and then down the legs. And then sometimes I'll have them lift their feet. So if you want to lift your foot up here, and I'm going to get the bottom of your foot. So there's a chakra on the bottom of each foot. And so when you clean that, you can and you want to turn around. I'll do your back now.
Same process. So, in my mind, I'm imagining that I'm using this smoke, like a washcloth and I'm just, I'm washing him with the sacred smoke. Okay, great when you're done, and how do you feel? Do you feel any different? A little bit lighter? Yeah.
Great. And go ahead and get my get my head and like, I'll take this. Oftentimes when somebody is holding smudge for me, I'll just take it in. I'm clinic cleansing my aura so I'm, it makes me feel more grounded, more present. I feel like I'm letting go of things that are keeping me from being right here right now. Great.
