Welcome to starting a spiritual practice. As you can guess by the title, we're going to start with a lot of different basics in this class. Everything from what is spirituality, what is divinity, and far be it for me to really define those things for you. I'm going to be discussing how you can define those for yourself so that you can have a deeper spiritual practice. You also get an introduction to the temple without boundaries to something I invoke at the beginning of each of my classes. And for any ceremony I'm doing.
We'll learn a lot about setting sacred space, setting aside a time and a place that's special for your spiritual practice, how to quiet your mind, we'll also talk about the seven directions and how to develop a relationship with the four elements and why you would want to do that and we'll wrap up by Discussing gratitude and why gratitude is such an important principle in a spiritual practice, and what the benefits are of having a gratitude practice. The next thing I'll do here is I'll call in the temple without boundaries. Let me give you a little bit of basics about who she is. This temple without boundaries is one of the spirit guides I work with. And over a long period of time of doing ceremony and ritual, and always calling in the highest essence of this beautiful house I lived in in Portland, Oregon, we always called in the essence, and we always called in the seven directions, many, many, many, many public events and ceremonies we did there.
And over a period of time, we started realizing that the house seemed to have a consciousness and we started calling the house, our temple, and it was all just kind of colloquial language what we decided you know how we discussed it when I moved from Portland to Austin I sat down in the living room, which was kind of like the central chamber, if you will of the temple. And I just had a conversation with the house, the consciousness of the house, the consciousness of the temple. And I was a little bit surprised because I hadn't had that type of dialogue before that she answered me back. And what she said was Take me with you. From that we communed regularly. And I learned a lot about this particular spiritual entity.
And she decided to call herself the temple without boundaries. So I'm honored to share her with you. She is a spiritual reward for me that I share with you. And what she does is create a sacred space and we'll be studying a little bit more about what sacred spaces and why you'd want to create one and a little bit later in this class. So just follow along with me this time. And what we're going to do is open this up Energetic container in this energetic container is going to be with us no matter its its ear regardless of time and space, you don't have to worry about that at all brings us into union together.
And we are all together in this. So I'm officially asking the temple without boundaries, to open her gates to open her borders, and to bring all of her resources from all sacred people, places and things from throughout all time, space and dimension as needed for a really fantastic learning experience today. So welcome to the temple without boundaries. The next thing I'll do at the beginning of every class, and I'll be teaching you how to do this is to call in the seven elements and the four directions. This is a main topic for a class today we'll be learning about altars. We'll be learning about all of the correspondences for each one of the elements today.
As well. So without further ado, opening your heart and sending your love into the direction of East and the element of air and calling all the guides, guardians, allies, ancestors, angels archangels and protectors of Easton of air to please be here to anchor the energy of this class today to be present with us for facilitating our learning here in the class. Welcoming east, sending your love out now to the south and to the element of fire and calling all the guides guardians allies, ancestors, angels archangels and protectors of South and a fire to please be present with us today to anchor the energy of this learning experience to transmute and transform any ideas or energies that don't serve us in our spiritual path. Anything that would be obstacles to our learning about our spiritual path today opening our hearts and sending our love to west to the element of water, and calling all the guides guardians, allies, ancestors, angels archangels, and protectors of West and of water, to please arrive to flow in to create a fluidity and a continuity among all the pieces of material that we'll be discussing today because there is quite a bit in this glass, welcoming West and water, sending your love now, opening our hearts sending our love to the north and to the element of Earth, and calling all the guides guardians allies, ancestors, angels archangels and protectors of Earth and of north to please arrive to help us to anchor what we learned today into the third dimension into our bodies to keep us safe and to facilitate our understanding of The elements which are in the third dimensional reality, opening our hearts now and sending our love down to the great below, to the heartbeat at the center of the planet, our mama Gaia, and asking her to create a beautiful foundation for our learning today keep us solid and strong as we go through our day today.
Opening our hearts and sending our love to the great above, calling in the heartbeat, at the center of the multiverse, calling in all the planets all the dimensions, all time and space, and all the stars in our own Sun and Moon and asking all of those energies to please arrive, be here with us. Last I like to call in center, that which into everything must return and from which everything is made manifest the heartbeat of consciousness that flows throughout all time, space and dimension. Which is divine love, calling in Divine Love to rain here in our class today, with you and our hearts together calling in that sacred principle of love
