Can't talk too much about materials suffice to say that you will need watercolor pens and brushes and if you have a piece of paper you need to tape it down. I use from the art stores is just a piece of meat tonight but it's been just on one side so that it's a little more archival for whatever you're taping onto. If you buy Masonite board from Home Depot or something is not going to be as archival because of the clues that are in there. But I do still use words from there. You want artists grade masking tape and you just want to take about a quarter to a half inch my papers and cut straight square so take a little bit more to tape it down. Hi.
This is from a roll of paper why keeps curling from that. Sometimes that's a cheaper way to go if you're going to be doing a lot of watercolors. You know you have the paper you like and you just keep going. Cutting straight, straight piece of paper. There's no correct order in which to do sighs sometimes it is easier to size down the paper to flatten out or you get down to the try to lay the tape down flat bubbles on the sides. Artists crude masking tape so that you have high quality mp3 for your paper About 10 by 14 inches, be a little smaller once I finish because I will trim it down.
There you go. That's your tape down piece of paper. Keep watching with the paper, it will keep it from buckling too much and it will return it back to its original shape. So that will be next we're just going to get the whole surface of this paper and let it dry. So if you don't already know about your watercolor materials, I do have a video that you can check out materials, just go to my skill show channel and check that out. It is an hour long but it does give you a real good feel for when you're coloring and painting.
So I'm just taking clean water from my cup and I'm just going to wet the surface of this paper. I'm just gonna loosen up some of the sizes Think paper a little and a little bit easier to work with. Otherwise, the paint might sit on the surface and it can get a little bit difficult to work with. You kind of saw the paint the water beating up there. So this is kind of do it, it's probably gonna smell a little funny when you do this, especially if you have good color and good quality paper. It's gonna start buckling and morphing a little bit.
You see the surface is starting to have a little bit of work to it. So it's gonna happen when you wet it, and that's perfectly normal. So just, you know, don't like drown your piece of paper, but it's enough to get it apparently what. So, just get that in, soak and let it dry. And I've been doing a ton of wet into wet in the beginning here and whatever we do, we're going to do it in sections that are not leading. Right so micro paper and We'll get going
