In a previous section, we talked a lot about why we are all these different things we get fearful, doubtful, we have self hate, self doubt, self fear. You know, we get petty and emotional and vengeful and neurotic and all these different things. Why does that happen? Well, it's simply because we can't control our own emotions. It's not our fault. So why can't we control our own emotions?

Because we can't even control our own minds. Why? Because we were never taught how this is terrible. This should have been one of the first things we were ever, ever taught. So, what is the best way to control your mind? Our EBT what is our EBT mean?

Glad you asked. Our A B D stands for the acronym rational emotive Behavioral Therapy. What is our EBT? Well, it's literally the science of how your mind works. There's a lot of different therapies out there. And they're theories.

Theories are something that you it's an idea that you pulled out of your head that you can't really prove. There's kind of anecdotal evidence for it might be a little bit here might be a little bit there, right? But you absolutely can't positively scientifically prove it. So it's a theory. No, no, this is the science This is like gravity whether you believe it or not, you throw your head off the roof, it goes down, not up. This is the science of how your brain works.

So with science, we have predictable outcomes. We can take certain actions and be guaranteed certain results. So our abt teaches you how to deprogram the old negative responses and feelings that you don't want and reprogram the positive responses. And feelings that you do want. What can be better than that? This is one of the key life skills.

Without it, you're trapped, trapped in your own mind. And you're going to sit there you're going to try and try and try to be a better person do this better do that better. And you can say, I always let myself down. Why Why? Why why RBT will teach you the why. So quick, shameless plug here, I've got a nice RBT course.

It's a way to gain complete mental mastery. That is not hyperbole that is absolutely 100% true. Take it and find out for yourself. Discover how your mind works and how you can deprogram the old negative thought patterns, replace them quickly and easily with positive new patterns chosen by you. This will give you an unfair advantage in life by having this unique skill and it can help you in almost any area of your life. So you can use this for health, wealth, finance, relationships, old past issues, anything anything he ever thought of That your minds in charge of this is the course that'll take care of it.

These are the tools. Now, moving on. Because of the pain pleasure model, your default setting is lazy. Isn't that terrible? Remember, your brain seeks pleasure and avoid pain. Doing a task is usually more painful than pleasurable.

So your default mode is lazy. People say, Oh my God, why am I so lazy? A you don't know how to control your brain. That's our EBT. Remember, I said I had a course on motivation. You don't know how to motivate yourself.

So your brain is always going to go back to this default, and you're fighting it and going back to the default and fighting it and going back to default, and you keep losing again because you don't know how to win the game. Let me teach you a little bit about something about the brain. The brain is a simple goal seeking mechanism. You're either going to control it or it's going to control you We talked a little bit about this when we talked about the Power of Habit. Remember, it's repetitive it gets into habits, you need to learn how to control it. Do that and have mastery over your life.

If not like a master you. So great quote here by James wrong, Jim to his friend, right? don't wish life would get easier. Wish you had more skill. I remember somebody telling me that if you go down to the library, every problem that anybody has ever had in the history of man is written down in a book somewhere, somebody already had it. Somebody already solved it, and it's sitting there waiting for you.

I think this is what Jim's talking about. So somewhere out there in the universe for any challenge you have. It's solvable. You just don't know how or don't have that particular skill. But literally, and I love this concept, it's sitting there in a book or it's sitting there in a training like this. Literally just a few minutes of training away.

A few minutes of reading away, and you will get it. So, keep building your skills. Keep learning to keep taking more courses, keep reading, keep listening to good science, good literature while you're driving around your car, good skills that you can learn. Don't waste that downtime, and life won't have to get easier. You're going to have more skill and that's going to make everything easier. That's the master skill you need.
