Hello there and welcome back to another action packed, fun filled exciting episode of how to play the sax. Let's continue how to play the sex learning journey. And let's add in a few new notes in today's lesson. So just a quick recap, we have talked about a few notes so far we have talked about a B and A and A G. We've talked about an F sharp and an E and a D. Let us add in one new notes, and that is with our right Pinky. It is this second you can see this two little key pink pinky things here. It's the second one it's the bottom one.
We were adding in this low note and it is a C. So just again To recap, with a B, A, G, F sharp, e D and A C, a low C. So let's try that. All right, so we'll start at the top. Start with a B. And we'll go down all the way and we'll add the piggies to the pinkies a low note. All right, low C. Let's try that. Follow me 123 hmm hold that low.
See how'd you go? The sea can wobble a bit, it can squeak it can bloop and blip and burp and kind of it doesn't quite work unless you adjust your mouth and your throat with the low notes. May I make a suggestion? I have got a bowling ball. Here's my bowling ball. This is my virtual balling ball.
I am going to force it and shove it down your throat open your mouth I've been wide. Let me put the bowling ball into your throat. There. Now the bowling ball. Don't swallow it. Do not swallow the bowling ball.
The bowling ball goes in, and you hold it in your throat. And what that does is hold your throat out. So let's try with the bowling ball of the actual bowling ball. Do not swallow reel bowling balls. Dangerous bad for you, but without virtual bowling ball. Let's try that again.
So we'll start on a B, A G, F sharp, D, sorry, F sharp, F sharp a D, low C with a Pinkie Let's try that again. 123 hot. How did you go once more with feeling 1234 Alright, so we've hit the low C. Good. Keep the bowling ball in there. Let's try a different note this time instead of an F sharp, so we got those three fingers and an F sharp. We're now going to do an F. So that's the F sharp.
That is the F. That is the F sharp. That is the F. So starting again with our B, A, G, F, A, D, C, let's try that. Okay. B, A, G, note, F, A, D, C. Let's try that. Ready. 12345 Maybe we can start.
Let's start at the low C, and we'll go, we'll go up 1234. All right, well done. So we've done a low C with a Pinkie. We've done an F with the first finger, instead of F sharp, F. Let's do one more new note and is a nother C. So we've gone out B. And to do the C above that. We swap first finger for middle finger, first finger for middle finger, so C, B, A, G. Let's just do that.
G, A, B, C, C. BG. Let's try that one again. Let's do that once more with feeling. Okay, ready? One more time. 123.
Excellent. So just to recap, let us try we'll start with our new note and you see the see the middle see here in the middle. Let's start there. And we'll see if we can go all the way down to all the fingers with the low C. All right. So we've got C, B, A, G, note, F, A, D, C with the low Pinky. All right.
Let's try that. Let's go down, all the way down. And then let's try all the way up again. Ready? One, two. Hey, whoa.
And let's go up. All right, well done. Congratulations. You have just achieved your first scale. It is a C major scale. C is for cookie, and that is good enough for me.
But C major, let's try that. Let's see if we can start down low. This A little bit tricky. We'll start down low, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, and then we'll go back down again. C, B, A, G, F, E, D, C. Let's try that. Start down low with a low Pinkie.
So remember, bowling ball, put the bowling bowling. If you're a little bit older and you're male, if you can a hint, drop your Adam's apple, your Adam's apple. If you are probably over the age of 13 1415. Your Adam's apple is the lumpy bit your throat, see if you can drop it a little bit. But from a female perspective, if you're female, your Adam's apple isn't as easy to drop. So here's a virtual bowling ball.
The bowling ball works for everybody. Okay, bowling, bowling. Big breath. Start on a low C and we'll go up with that C major scale 123 hop And down again, well done, you see major scale, I have a request. scales are fairly boring, but they are really good for getting your fingers working. It really good for getting your mouth working.
They are really good for getting your saxophone working. So from here on, what I want you to do, please is practice only for one minute every day, C major scale and we will add in some new scales in the next lesson. So thank you very much for joining me how to play the sax. Let's keep going. You rock C major fantastic
