The next step is to outline the composition. So we take some ultramarine blue, wiping the knife again, add a touch of crimson, and some titanium white. And as you mix this color, you can see it produces a wonderful violet. You don't want to make it too dark at this stage. And that will do. So taking your dry rag on top of your fingertip, you can now dip it into your paint.
And on your canvas about two thirds up to the right, make a mark and then about a third up from the left another mark. And now you can establish the line of the hillside. a touch more paint now on the end of your fingertip so that we can two thirds over to the right. You can start to establish the bushes on this hillside ridge. Again, you don't have to be too detailed at all. It's just a matter of establishing approximately where they're going to be.
