Hello, I'm Rob cabin and these are my 10 rules of online business. Rule number one, be happy. Make sure you enjoy your business. Don't go through unrewarding, unchallenging boring work. If you think that there's a result to be achieved in the future from this boring work that will never work, you must do work that you enjoy. Now you're becoming an entrepreneur to enjoy freedom.
You must enjoy it now. Even if you're working in a full time job and this is your side gig. Be happy. Number two, be passionate. You must be passionate about your business about your products. Now, you might think this is difficult at first.
I certainly did. I started offering web and graphic design services for clients and I didn't always like the work I didn't always enjoy doing quite mundane work for clients, even though it was for my own business, and I was passionate about that. But I managed to pivot my business to providing help to people to run their own web and graphic design businesses. How could I not be passionate about that? I was helping people achieve the freedom that I was enjoying so much. And I increased the passion I had about my business rule number free work and time management.
Entrepreneurs do not work harder than everyone else. The people who do 70 8090 100 hour weeks. These are employees. They are not entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs work smart. They don't work hard. Make sure you are productive in every minute of work that you do on your business.
Rule number four, create multiple products. I see a lot of people who start out making the mistake of Hiding themselves away, and spending lots of time and money developing their first product, your first product is unlikely to be your best ever products, so you shouldn't spend so much time on it. And when you finished your first product, whatever it is, don't spend time patting yourself on the back, go out there and start on your second product, your third, fourth, fifth, sixth, the more products you make, the more likely one is going to be successful. Number five have multiple income streams. We've seen it so many times before when somebody has built their business on Facebook ads or Google traffic or Amazon or they have one client that is giving them more work or they are offering one service that is making all their money, something changes and all the income disappears overnight.
If you have many different ways of making money in your business, then if something goes wrong with one of them. It doesn't make much difference. Rule number six, build a platform and collect email addresses. Don't build your business on Facebook, Amazon or Google traffic. For example, Amazon or Facebook or Google will change something and you'll suddenly lose your business overnight. The way to mitigate this risk is to build a platform for yourself, ie a website and collect the email addresses of your prospects and customers.
Number seven don't complain platforms like Google and Facebook government's competitors will do things that you don't like and they will affect your business greatly and you will be angry. When this happens. Don't spend your energy in complaining or getting angry or any other negative emotion. Put your energy in to your business and solving the business problem. Number eight, persevere. We all love to listen to these podcasts and read these ends.
Views about how someone made a million overnight through some clever idea on the internet. It's inspiring, good for them. But at the end of the day, it doesn't happen like that in real life. Most people are successful online because they have persevered on one core business idea for a while. They also need to pivot. Maybe they've spent some time on one core business idea that hasn't worked out, but they've changed or pivoted and spent time on another core business idea and persevered on something and then they've become successful.
Rule number nine, stop buying shiny objects. There's lots of courses and programs out there that will tell you how to build a business. I'll present to you a whole business idea that you can copy and make your own and make money. These courses are a waste of money. All the information you need to be successful is available for free on the internet, and rule number 10 take action. I've had advice from some of the most successful business people.
And the advice has been wrong. You've only got yourself, you've only got your own advice. You've only got your own abilities. You just have to get into your business and work on it. Hustle hard. Take action, stop reading, stop listening, and start doing today.
My name is Rob cabin. I hope you enjoyed my 10 rules of online business. If you think you have another rule that I've left out, I'd love to hear from you. Leave me a message. Goodbye.
