Hello, this is Rob coming here. So what are you going to do to make money? Now don't worry because it's easy for you to choose the right direction. All you have to do is go your own way. There's a lot of business advice that tells you to niche down or niche down, hone in on a specific area or position with an industry so you can dominate that. So for example, if you were a writer, you'd be the autoresponder person.
If you're a designer, you'd be the logo designer person. If you're a developer, you could be the membership site person. I haven't found this to be good advice personally. But a lot of people say that this is work for them. On the other hand, look at Twitter, it started out as a side project, but it was created by a startup that were building a podcasting platform that's something totally different. So they actually pivoted on to a different area.
So always Be aware to change your plans. You don't need a big idea. All these questions will just get you distracted from getting started. Taking action is the most important thing. People can postpone getting a website creating content, launching products or starting a business because they're thinking about a big idea you don't need to it doesn't matter. You will find your niche or niche more easily by taking action, you will find yourself inside the act of creation.
And another reason why it doesn't matter why you need to think of an idea of what you're doing is because the world these days is constantly in a state of change. At the beginning of 2000, WordPress, Facebook, Google AdWords, Twitter, Kindle and iTunes didn't exist. And yet people are basing their businesses off these platforms now. So you can be sure that something in the future will come up That will be a platform that's right for you. So you just need to get started. But here are some more ideas of what you could do.
And we're going to really drill down about what we've said before, that you need to think about what you love doing, what you're good at doing, and what people will pay you well for. So I want you to get out a piece of paper now and write down answers to these questions. Now, it doesn't matter if you can't answer all of these questions, or you've got a lot of answers for some of these questions. But the questions are, what do you love doing? What are you good at? And what will people pay well for and it's good to carry the pad of paper around with you.
Because you may find that people regularly ask you the same questions. And this is very important because if they do, there may be something that you can do as a service there in your new business. So people are constantly asking you something, it means there's a pain point there a business could be successful in relieving. So if you continue to think around these areas, then you'll think of something. But don't worry, because things are bound to change, and you can always pivot your business later on. Okay, hope that was helpful.
