Hello, this is Rob cabin. Now this section of videos is as important as any other section more important, in fact than setting up a business, setting up email lists, products, markets, anything like that advertising, your personal development, your health and the environment you find yourself in is more important than almost anything. And this section of videos should not be overlooked. Because what you find is entrepreneurship affects every part of your life. If you go into this half heartedly, it's not going to work. So what I'm going to talk about is habits that you need to incorporate into your daily life for you to become successful.
So as I say, you need to dedicate your life to your business to entrepreneurship and this will be easy because you will love your business and It will consume almost every waking moment of your life, but not in a bad way. Because you are so passionate about what you are doing, because it's giving you freedom, because it's giving you this wonderful gift and better life. So it's not difficult to dedicate your life towards it. But in order to do that you need agreement of your family and friends, and you need to look after your health. So let's start with the family. And if you don't have a family, you don't have children, you're single, it's the same thing.
It will just be about your extended family or the people you find yourself spending the most time with. So one of the people I interviewed for this section of videos was Mary shore, a UX project manager from Connecticut in the US, and she said you must have agreement of your partner. And it's critical because you have to go into this as a team. a clear distinction between work time and playtime is of immense importance. You have to know where the off switch is. And many entrepreneurs have children and they have to make sure that the children aren't being overlooked during the transition to entrepreneurship.
So it's essentially an agreement between family time and work time. And during the downtime, it's important to set aside time for physical exercise. I'm not an expert on physical exercise, but some would say that three times a week, and 20 minutes during those three times of exercise is enough. It's probably best to do something every day yoga and Tai Chi are great daily practices, because they can be done almost anywhere. You only need a little bit of floor, six foot by six foot maybe. But any sort of physical exercise is good and it must be habit that's factored in to your week, just as the same time as if you have a family, you have that family time factored into the week.
Now, there are lots of habits that I could talk about, but it's very personal. I like to meditate every day. And you'd be surprised how many successful entrepreneurs meditates every day. However, not all of them do. But they use yoga, tai chi exercise positive thinking just about any personal development tool that they can get their hands on, in order to perform to that optimum ability. So remember to exercise regularly.
Remember to eat healthily, drink lots of water, water cleanses your system. Try to drink several glasses a day. have water by your desk while you're working and sleep well. Don't try to sleep less in order to work more That will never work. All of these habits, even taking time off work will help you work because you'll be working more productively during the work time. So let's recap on what we've learned.
And this is extremely important. I do urge you not to ignore this section of videos. It's just as important or more important than any other section. Don't neglect your loved ones ensure they are on board with your new direction in life. And if you don't have a family, make sure the people around you are supporting you in this. If you have people around you that don't believe you can succeed and will tell you all the time that you can't succeed, then you must make sure that you see as little as possible of those people.
Don't neglect your health factor in several periods of exercise during the week. eat healthfully. Drink a lot of water, expand your circle of business contacts immediately. Go to those meetups and meet successful business people. The more successful people you have in your immediate environment means the more likely you are to become a successful business person yourself. And remember, live frugally within your means and spend money only on the essentials.
