Hello, this is Rob carbon here. And now I'm going to give you a practical example of how content can draw in readers visitors to your website and how they can become customers. And this content is a blog post. So a successful blog post needs to be very long and very helpful. It's got to be more than 1000 words. Of course, it's got to be about something you know very well.

It needs to have subheadings it needs to have good images. It needs to have bold, italics and bullets in the text. So it's not just plain paragraphs of text, and you can break it up with YouTube videos, SlideShare presentations, or other images, etc. Also, it should have links both links internally to your other articles and externally to other useful results. Let's show you an example of a blog post that I've written at Rob cabin calm. So Udemy UD e m y is an online learning platform where people can buy courses, video courses, but there's a lot of other places they can go to, and make money selling video courses as well.

And this article are about alternatives to Udemy where they can do that. A lot of people found this article very interesting and very helpful. Let's have a look at it. Of course, you can see there's an image there, and links, the links are in orange, the subheads more subheads the paragraphs are very short, not more than a few lines long. All this means that you can scan the article and pick bits out that you like here is a YouTube video breaking it up even more, more subheads more short paragraphs, more links, bold, italics, everything to build it up. And there's the end of the article.

So you can See, it's much more than 1000 words, you can share this article on social media Of course, there's a call to action to an email list sign up. And at the bottom you have comments more information that I'm getting from my customers telling me about their problems, giving me valuable information about more content that I can create, and products that I can create for them in order to turn them into customers. Here is the same blog post at the back end in WordPress. So there is my title title is very important. I've got lots of keywords in the titles, so Udemy alternatives. That's the keywords that I'm aiming to rank for, but also selling video courses online.

They are other valuable keywords that people would search for. So they're all in the title. This is how you create a blog post in WordPress very easy. You just type in the information and then you can put the images in by Add Media. Remember, the image is very important, they should be smaller and file size less than 70 or 80 K. Sometimes if they're smaller, less than 20, or 40, or 50 K, make sure you own the copyrights of the image, make sure it's an attractive image there, the subheadings. These are heading twos.

Up here, you can see here are the links, there's an external link to a valuable resource. And there's an internal link to another article that's very valuable as well, but also on this website. All these elements are valuable to Google a good for SEO good for Google. Google likes the subheadings likes the images and gives them more information about what the article is about so they can rank your site and give you traffic from their search engine. So I'm scrolling down here you can see all the short paragraphs the subheadings here Here is the YouTube video, all you have to do is paste in the link from YouTube and you get the video in the blog post. More subheadings more short paragraphs, more links, more bolts.

And there you have the end of the blog posts and it's over 2000 words very useful information that people will share. And at the bottom here, here is something I do because I use the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress, where I can focus on a keyword. And Yoast will tell me that I have optimized the article correctly for that keyword. So it will appear in the searches on Google hopefully, not incredibly important. But the important thing is to put keywords in the titles and the subheadings and in the content of the articles. So how do you find out about keywords whether you're using them correctly, where your traffic is coming from?

Well, you must install Google Analytics, it's very easy to set up a Google Analytics account for free, and put some code on every page of your website. And you will get fantastic information about your visitors. Here is my Google Analytics for a month, or was view a month or more, and you'll get more information. And if you go acquisition channels, there, you'll see all the traffic I've been getting for the last month, click on organic search. So this is the traffic that comes from Google. And if I have a look at all of this information, these are the actual keywords that people are carrying into Google that end up on my site, and how long and how many of them stay on the site.

Unfortunately, Google withholds 95% of this information. So remember, all these search terms, this one how to start a web design company. It's only been searched for three times in the last month, you could actually multiply that by 20. And you can see that it's been searched for many more times than just three this month. But if I do a search for you, to me here, you will see that I've got some visitors with that keyword Udemy alternatives. And in fact, there's 16 results for you to me on this page.

So I'm getting a lot of traffic from people who are interested in Udemy. And that is because I have optimized articles about you to me and other online learning platforms. I've written a lot about this subject. It's good quality information. Other people have linked to me because it's quality information. I've forged relationships with other entrepreneurs, other website owners, so they know that I've got this information then they linked to me, and this all helps to get free traffic from Google.

Which is customers for my business? How do I get the customers? Well, of course, they read the article. And then they sign up to the email list to get more good free information so they don't miss any more of this good content. And then it's easier for me to sell them products. My name's Rob caban.
