Hi guys, Max Jacobs here and welcome to the first lesson of week one called drive. And the purpose of this lesson is to ensure you have a maximum drive towards running your dream business. This is critical because having passion and purpose behind your business will be all you need to overcome any obstacle. And you'll have a number, a number of statements reminding you of your true passion, purpose and overall mission. So at the moment, a few common frustrations and problems that I say. And the first is that you've got lots of ideas, you're just not sure which one it's like, you've got a million lightbulb moments going off, but you're not sure which one to actually go for.
The second thing is that you've just got no certainty around what it is that you're doing. And you've also got no purpose. It's like you're, you're standing on the top of a mountain just looking at going what is it that I that I need to be doing with my life? And ultimately, you feel like you've just got a meaningless existence now. Hit you as lucky. This lady here in this photo, you're just you're listening.
You're sitting there at work, you're in a meeting, you're listening to what same but Going in one ear and out the other essentially just staring through them daydreaming thinking, is this really all there is? So I share story with you. So, picture a young man standing at his first business, he's an ideas, man. They span a gap in the market between what it costs to build a website and what customers expect to pay. This is his first business and he put absolutely everything into it physically and mentally. This business attempt failed quickly, not because he didn't know what he was doing.
But because he didn't have passion and purpose behind what he was doing. And without passion, how can you expect to overcome problems and obstacles that will inevitably arise along the way? So this this is a story that about a friend of mine? Yeah, a close friend and, and now that he's got passion for what he's doing, He's, uh, he's able to overcome all the obstacles that are standing in his way. So what you'll get out of completing this lesson are a number of things. And the first is that you're going to find the one you're gonna have that one light bulb moment way like that is what I'm going to be doing for the rest of my loss.
The other thing is that you're gonna have certainty around what you're doing, you're gonna be, you're gonna be able to say the songs, you're gonna be able to know exactly what direction you're heading in, you're gonna have vision, it's gonna be like you're looking through binoculars, looking through, you're looking through a telescope, you've got a perfect vision of where you're heading. And you're also gonna find that what you're doing is meaningful. And it's gonna be like you're an artist, you wouldn't expect an artist to, to paint a painter painting without putting any meaning behind it. So you're gonna have a meaningful direction. So let me ask you this. Why is this important to you?
So from everything I've just talked about? What's the one thing that stood out the most? What's, what's the, what's the most important thing that stood out to you? So I'd love you to think about it. I'm gonna write it down right now. And just think about that as we go into the key principles.
And as we go through the rest of this lesson, let's go through the key principles. The first principle is passion. So this principle is a bit thinking about the number one thing you're most passionate about. Then channeling your audience. Generation around this passion. You want to start with why?
What is it that you truly believe in? So it's important to, to make sure that you're, you're using your strengths. So this is all about thinking short term passions all about thinking short term. What is it, it's going to get you up and going, what is it that's going to make you love what you're doing in the moment. And this is literally what every single successful entrepreneur out there says that you need to follow your passion. Now, I've got a worksheet below that you'll have available in the download section called the passion poor worksheets.
This is going to, it's going to help get all your ideas out on a piece of paper and really narrow in on what it is that your ultimate passion is. So that's the first principle. The second principle is purpose. This principle is about thinking long term about your purpose. And yes, you might be passionate about selling, which is why you love running a business around it but what is it that you are aiming for what is it that keeps you going? So I've created a a worksheet below, which is Hold the Mission Control worksheet which is going to take you through what your purpose is.
Let's go through the third principle. So this is learn to surf. So we can't control the waves when it comes to running a business or comes to start a business, but we can learn to surf. So the essence of this principle is that prompts and obstacles will slow you down getting you or even stop you from getting what you want the case to use your passion and purpose as fuel to the fire when driving through these obstacles. The next principle is perfect direction. So these principles about understanding that you don't need to force the direction you're going.
If you're following your true passion and purpose, you'll automatically head in the perfect direction, it's going to feel automatic, it's gonna it's just gonna feel right. And the last principle is find alignment. Though this this principle is about ensuring that your passion and purpose is ultimately aligned with your business ID. And without this alignment will be significantly harder to overcome obstacles stay motivated, and even find pleasure in what you're doing. So what I've done is I've, I've got a worksheet below called the rd generator worksheet. So this is, this is going to really help align all your number one ideas, your top three ideas and your top three passions and make sure that make sure that that your final idea is best aligned with what you're most passionate about.
So this is essentially what I've done. I've become a coach because being a mindset coach allows me to do I really aligned my top three passions, which is in exercise and mindset, in in teaching others, and also in traveling because being an online marketing coach allows me to create a geographically independent business where I can, I can travel the world and still run the same business. So those are the five key principles. Let's go through them again. So the first is passion, making sure that I can show that and yet, if finding passion behind what you're doing, make sure you start with why and making sure that you're truly Doing what you what you truly believe in. And next principle is purpose.
Make sure that there's purpose behind what you're doing. This is all about thinking long term. Next is learning to surf. Understand that you can't control the whys but you can learn to surf. And perfect direction, making sure that you're not forcing the direction you go, making sure that you're using your passion and purpose to to automatically get you going in the right direction. And the last is to find alignment to find alignment between your profitable business idea and what you're most passionate about.
So those are the five key principles. So let me ask you this. What's been most valuable so far? what's what's been the most important thing that stood out the most because it's proven that you're going to retain 80% more information by writing it down and repainting it. So I'd love to know what you've learned so far, so please write it down there. I'm going to post it into the Facebook group later.
So that's it for this video. I look forward to seeing you in the next one.
