Hi guys, Max Jacobs here and welcome to the launch date worksheet. So in this video, I'm going to take you through setting your launch date and pretty much coming up with a full breakdown of all of the most important steps that you need to do to achieve that launch date. So, what we're going to do is we're going to apply the 8020 rule and determine the most important task you have to complete to achieve the launch date. Don't worry about all the the minor bits and pieces that that don't really matter. Worry about the major things that have to happen in order to launch your dream business. So let's go through it.
So what is your launch that we need to set the date so set the date for sometime within the next eight weeks, so set that there, then we're going to go down the bottom here and we're going to break down all the steps that you need to to accomplish to achieve this data up here. So let's, let's, let's use the example breakdown. So the first step and I think is the most important step you need to announce Your friends and family announced to the world that you're launching this business, your dream business. So enhanced to ups as to your friends and family, you launching your dream business. Go, that's the very first step. The next is, and these are going to be most of these steps are going to be steps that you have to take.
But depending on what business you're running, there may be a few extra ones you might need to you might be able to take it some of the examples but generally speaking, this is a good guideline to the steps you may take. So it's kind of a second step. So the second step and this applies to everyone you need to determine your business name. Because this will be really important because once you've determined it then you can check whether it's available. Check whether someone else has already used it because if they have you might not be able to use it. You might not Get the domain name that you want, you might not be able to set up a Facebook page might be a lot of things that you can't do if that name is already taken.
So determine your business name, your niche, your product or service, your value proposition and your minimum viable product. So, the next step is to test your your your MVP, your minimum viable product or service with just with your friends and family and, and the people around you. We don't want to we don't want to launch something that that doesn't work or that that we think is really, really good but other people think it could require a little bit of work or a little bit of tweaking, refining. So test your your MVP with friends and family. Cool. So next step is to once you've got all those first three steps done yet apply for an ABN Australian Business number Business number and really decide on that the business structure you're going to go with whether it's a sole trader, or a company or partnership.
You had to start on that. So let's get on to the next step. So the next step is a really fun way to set up a Facebook page is set up some sort of some sort of base, some sort of some sort of online presence so people can find us and contact us so and setting up a Facebook business page is free. So set up a Facebook business page. Next step, so in order to set up a website, to further submit your online presence now this is optional, depending on what you're doing. But this can also be a really good way to to really consolidate to solidify your online presence.
So set up a website And this will also be really important if you plan on running a lot of marketing campaigns online marketing campaign, having a website that you can create landing pages from is really important. For us, let's go on to the next step. So start going to local meetups and networking events. This will be really important to get your name out there to start talking to people in your industry and letting them know that you're launching your dream business and that you have a really good offer, you've got a premium offer and really get your value proposition out there. So start going to networking events and meetups. So, next step, I want to develop a list of all your potential customers and clients.
So I like to think of this as developing your your list of say 250 people that that you know, the ideal clients, ideal customers that thing we have people local then spread out from there come up with anyone and everyone When you can think of people, at businesses, organizations, absolutely everyone. So develop a list of all your potential customers and clients. actually call them and let them know that you're launching your business soon. Let them know you're launching your business in the local area. And who knows, maybe you'll be able to get some, some clients and customers straightaway because they need what it is that you're offering. Alright, so the next step is to run and depending on the business that you're doing this this could be different you might need to do this or you might need to do a lot of these but I suggest running at least one marketing campaign.
That way you can generate some some preliminary leads before you actually launch your business that way you know that there's There's people actually wanting what it is that you're offering so you can get to work straightaway and get right into it. You don't want to get to get to your launch date and have no one actually wanting what it is that you that you're offering. So run at least one marketing campaign to generate leads, go and then launch the most important step launch. So we need to make sure that we we are in this workshop coming up with the most important tasks that you need to do to launch your business. So hope you enjoyed this video, and I look forward to seeing you in the next one.
