My first ethic is putting the customer first. What does this mean? You need to fulfill the promises that you've made to your customers. If you have a deadline by which you should deliver something, make sure you meet the deadline. However, things may happen, or you may face delays, how to deal with that, be honest. Make sure that you contact your customer well ahead of time, and let them know that you're facing certain setbacks.
And you may not be able to meet the promise deadline. Most times they will understand this, especially if you say this in an honest way. So put your customer first and make sure that you fulfill the promises that you make. If you promise the product, deliver it. Don't just take the contract and run because then you won't get any continued business.
