In the next step, we will be putting the clothes just a general outline on top of our fashion figures. I pulled some runway images that I'll be working from Feel free to use mine or use your own, anything will work. It doesn't even have to have feathers on it already. You'll see this one kind of has a fringy element but we'll make them into feathers. So I'm going to start with this first figure by using this one here. Kind of a boatneck shape.

She has a soft, billowy outer layer. And because her hand is pinching in the waistline, you'd probably see a dip in the fabric like so. So be mindful of how this will drape on the bar. Hear it'll just curve out. And then for the feathers, we want to illustrate just in soft, wispy motions slightly rounded. I will indicate some little feather edges.

That just very light and we'll do a lot of this work when we come back over with the color. I'm erasing the inner lines as I go. Good. I'm going to give her just a soft bang illustrate the eye enough To illustrate the nose or every single part of the face, just an indication of where her eyes and where her lips are. That's enough. Generally I give all the figures the same hairstyle, just keep it simple.

Maybe they have their hair kind of tucked back behind and just the indication of a lip. You don't have to illustrate all the edges or anything like that. Okay. I'm going to give her just a blouse maybe with a belted waist. First skirt sort of end there with some soft pleats and the feathers will come out from underneath. Like so.

Good Don't overwork it or worry about it being perfect. We have several more layers that will go on top of this so just a light outline is good. Next I'm going to illustrate this dress here. And really make these feathers dramatic, they can flip out they can flip up. Just really let them be kind of airy and soft. That's good.

Give her a little I Anna lip. And for the last figure, we're going to illustrate this transparent trench. So let's start with the belt. Soft lines down to this knot. has one loop here. One side is the belt and one side is the tail.

Okay and then a lapel wrapping around her neck like so. And then just a soft, billowy shape. Okay, and then the feathery detail is really on those pockets. So I'm going to make them out Little more oversized than the actual trench just the soft indication of their shapes good. I'm going to tuck one side of the trench back behind that next figure and then their side will really be dramatic like it's blowing away. Good.

Give her a bit of a face, banging a lip. If you have any difficulty with the face facial features I know I'm illustrating this really small Blow it up for yourself. Maybe work at a full page and just practice a few different faces until you land on when you really like. All you need is one good face. And then you can keep reusing it and all of your illustrations, that's really the key. Don't work too hard.

Just make it fun. Okay, good. So now we have all the figures and the clothing illustrated on them.
