Now we're going to head into the bridge part. And to do that we've got a little turnaround and then a little chord shift that we're going to do to get from the C to the long a. So let me play it through, break it down. I'll start from the the end of the verse and then go right into the bridge. So it's like this. So what I'm doing there is from the sea without the bass making a C with the pinky on the third fret of the first string.

Moving at one fret up keeping the whole shape so I'm taking my pinkie from the third fret to the fourth fret of the first string and then into the long a now the bass remains alternating throughout all that five, four. Even if it doesn't sound right, go ahead and do it. And it could you get right, right into that long a and it won't matter at least that's how I do it. I just keep the base going. And don't worry about if it sounds perfect or not. So let me play that whole thing from the G from this point on, playing that long a with the five for bass.

Then I'm using my second and my third finger and I'm walking the bass from the third fret of the fifth string to the fourth fret and then we're going to go to an ace seven Like that, so the whole thing and then open fifth, open fourth, and then we're gonna go into this D shape. And the way I do that is I go back to the fifth, so it's 5454. Then my next six is going to be with my thumb in the D seven shape. I'm not sure if that's exactly how it's done on the original recording, but for me, it's the way that makes the most sense and I can do it smoothly. So let's take that whole bridge part so far. So now as we get the D seven, we've got an alternating bass again Sixth Floor and I'm just taking my ring finger lifting it up putting it back down on the second fret of the of the first string.

But I'm picking between the first and second string. So watch how I do this. This is a good one, a good part of the song just to break down, play it by itself and get it down. So let's play that bridge one more time before we'll take it from the G seventh of the of the end of the verse. So right there We're just going from G. And we can use a, just a straight six for bass or we can go 6454. Watch how I do this.

We're gonna wind up back on the sea. So we're going on the treble strength. And right here, we're gonna do a little stop lick. So let's take it in context. What I'm doing there is a stop on the pitch of the fifth and the second strings with the C chord. Then I'm just playing that lick my pinky goes.

Third fret first string. Oh, Second strength. Then I'm coming back into my alternating bass. So watch how I do this. Right there. I'm gonna do a band just like we did out of the over the F shape.

But now we're gonna do it over the C shape. We're gonna take that pinky to the second string, third fret. Play something like that. Whoops from the G. Play that and then from there, we're going right back to a long a. And you'll notice if you listen to the original recording each time it goes back to that age. Seventh lick long a seventh lick, he's gonna play something a little different.

He's gonna mix up which notes he accentuates and how many times he picks in each position. It's not the same every time through. So I'm just showing you the first I think this is how he plays it the first time through and then you can listen to the others and figure it out if you want to get this whole song down. So let's play that whole, the whole bridge part again. You'll notice that time I'm not playing that the second time through he just goes stays on the a man goes to the open Five, four, to the D Sabha. And then to the next verse And so on.

So there you have, you know, really the entire song where I'm busy and you can't come in. What you need to do again is listen to the original. And listen for all the little variations and things that he does out of those shapes and those positions. He doesn't change the chords. He doesn't do anything really fancy. What he does is just kind of changes what he accent so for instance, on the seventh, he might play this.

We might play this last thing we'll talk about for I'm busy and you can't come in is how he ends the song and the Ending is nothing fancy, he pretty much just alternates the chords. And this is a standard type ending in the key of C, so he does this from the last part of the song. And all I'm doing there playing a C, G's not really a G seventh or a G, I'm really just getting the sixth and the fifth strings in the G shape coming back to a pinch on the sea, or you could stroke so let me play that end tag for you one more time. You could end it other ways, but that's how it's ended on the original recording or something very close to that.
