The final verse of lightning Hopkins and these bogie, I'll play it from where we left off with the previous first with that base slide, turn around, we got this. That's where the turnaround comes in, or the N tag. So before we get to the end tag, let's just take that last first and it's really simple. He's just playing. He's just playing the pretty much exactly what he played at the beginning. So it comes out of the previous first guess the open six String 123 and then that lick and then he's going to go into the end tag.
So that's it. It's really just pretty much almost exactly the same thing that we played in the first verse, but we're going to cut it short and throw in the end tag after the end tag, let's let's try that one time. So there you have the N tag for Annie's bogie it's really, really cool. And what he's doing is he gets to the B seven, the five of the last first cuts it short, these guys slides to the 15th fret of the first string I tried to do with my pinky, you might want to try it with your third finger, find a way to get there, it's really difficult to do this. Get that note to sound out and then you're gonna bend it up a little bit, I've got my first finger at the 12th fret of the first string, and then my pinky, I can bend that up, and control it and then we're just walking over what is a f shaped E chord.
So it's from the 15th to the 12th fret on the first string 1512 on the second string. Now we're going 1412 on the third string, winding up on the 14th fret of the fourth string, so we got this. Then we're gonna come back here to the position open second string, second fret of the third string. hammer on to the first fret to the whole thing. Then we're going to do the seventh slide, double stop slide. So we're starting at the second fret, my first finger on the second fret of the second string and my second finger on the third fret of the third string and we're sliding on up picking up stroking with my first finger.
And then we're just going back like that, so we got and then gonna hammer on in an easy position to the first fret of the of the third string, open second string, second fret, seventh, which is the third fret of the second string. So we got this. I'm going to choke it off with my Right hand and then I'm just going to strum an E chord with my thumb struck in district stroking down getting mostly the low end strings. So let's play that whole turnaround slowly as our whole antec slowly goes like this. And that is the end of Annie's bogie it is a really cool instrumental it's one you don't hear, unless you are a true lightnin Hopkins fan and explore all his recordings. I just kind of stumbled on it.
And I thought I'm not a singer. This is a fairly simple instrumental that I can play and you can do a lot of improvising. You can mix up how you play those Boogie Ron's, you could even throw in some other lightnin Hopkins licks like remember this you know, so Those types of things that we learned in Mojo Han, you can use those during the stop times. You can really do a lot of things with this instrument. I like Annie's Boogie because you learn how to work on the monophonic bass he learned some use some courts use some single string rounds, you got a solo, use some double stops. There's a lot going on in the song.
This is a great song to really learn a lot of the things that lightnin Hopkins plays in the key of D. Okay, that's, that's any Boogie, we got one more tune in the key of E and then we're going to move on to other keys.
