Hi and welcome to the first step of happiness dividing formula. It is that that no technique can make you happy until you have set goals in your life. Whether it is a stress management technique, mindfulness meditation anything particular do not have any goals or if you do not know that these are useless. I would like to explore this today, we are living in Russia by we have to get going after one thing to another without even knowing whether that is what we want. We are simply following herd mentality. This is basically task oriented approach.
We keep on doing a task and read somewhere to find out that this is not what we wanted. Then we start another task, then another and then only to find out that this is not what we wanted. This is not our goals. This is not the direction of our goals. Basically we keep on moving in a direction which is different from the direction of our goals. And the more we are moving in that direction, more is the gap between our goals and ourselves.
And when this gap increases, this increases unhappiness in frustration, this is the main cause of unhappiness. So, what should we do? The very first step we should take is to stop then and there is no point in bridging the gap further and then plan to move towards your goals. But before that, you must know your goals. So, let us find out our intense desires, which are buried deep down in our unconscious mind and which has taken a backseat because of our current lifestyle. I would like you to make goals for five major domains of your life.
Which are physical health, emotional health, finances, relationships, and self love. Once you find out your goals, make a goal card for each of these five goals. And apart from these five goals, I would like you to find the big purpose of your life as well. And once you make your goal card for the big purpose and these five goals keep on seeing that goal card regularly daily. Apart from that, make a mental CD achieving all these goals that if you are achieving all these goals, make a mental city of them and see what are the benefits you are getting out of it. How are you enjoying them and run that mental CD every night before you go to sleep.
And if possible, the First thing after you wake up in the morning so let's start this exercise. This is not a one day exercise, it may take some time to find out the holes.
