So in this video, I'm going to briefly just talk about another important piece that Google will look at. That helps with your local map ranking. And that's actually having your address shown in full on your website on every page if possible. Now in this site, I'm over on all Florida pool.com. And you can see that at the bottom, we've got this contact us. And it's got the full address with the state, city, zip code, phone number.
And we do have an email which is not required. But this is generally something that you're going to want. In addition, you could also embed a small google map of the area that you're located in, you know, on this site, we don't have that, but that would be something we may add. And another thing that you should probably do is set up a actual Contact Us page. And you could just repeat the same exact information, and also embed that Google map that's going to help you. Now another thing that you can do, and I'm not going to get too too advanced into this.
This starts to get a little bit more complex. But Google has something that they call schema markup. And a good example of that would be, if you ever looked for, well, let's see if I do. I'm trying to think of an example, to chicken recipes. So a good example of markup is actually all this is an ad. You see if I can find something that's showing it mean more or less, it's the same as what you're going to see in the ad.
You've got this rating. You've got this piece here, showing that you can follow this company on Google Plus, this is Kraft. So basically, this is using some markup code. It's got this embedded review system, as well as some other stuff about like the Google page they're having. They have all these followers at Kraft that's markup. You can also see it in the regular organic search results with proper setup with your website.
So without going into this in too too much detail. If we go back, I've got this site I pulled up here called micro data generator calm. And I'm over at a page called local business schema. Now, what you can do is just put in your full business name. And when you submit this, it's going to give you back some code. And the code is actually something that you could place into the footer of your website surrounding the business name and all the same information here.
And Google is going to be able to look at that information and tie it to your Google Plus page as well as tie into your Google Local rankings. This is something that a lot of people don't do. They just really kind of missed the boat on this piece. And I would highly recommend, I'll probably list some resources on schema markup, so you can look into this more yourself, do some reading on it. But if you're not really familiar with adding code or doing some of these advanced things, and it may be worth you know, speaking with With a consultant or someone that is you could always send me a message, I'd be happy to help you the best I can. But generally, you're going to want to get the schema markup for your business placed into your website and place somewhere that it's going to be in a footer.
That's going to be on every page. I mean, if we go to, I'm just going to go to one of these blog posts, you'll see the way the site is designed that on every page, this footer remains. So it's basically global. And we have this markup here, as well as the actual address displaying. So I'll leave a link to the local business schema tool. So you could go ahead and actually generate your own schema markup, which Google can read.
Thanks
