Welcome back, my friends, we have Park and I hope you did the exercise as well exploring your passions have an issue that you care about. And now from those fuses you have explored, and I hope you've identified some new insights about each of those glue. Now we're going to see how we can put the pieces together how we can connect these things together, and try to define and create a statement of your life purpose as well as your legacy statement. Meaning when you live your purpose, what kind of legacy that you will leave behind at the end of your life. And this is something that's very much connected. And once you define your purpose statement, it will be very easy to define your legacy statement as well.

So let's start first with your purpose statement. Remember at the beginning of this course, when I give some examples about my life purpose, for example, just enabling people to discover and live their life purpose. Or another example of purpose statement could be curing cancer patients so they can live healthy again. Basically, there are three elements of a purpose statement. One, it needs to explain what you do. So meaning, there needs to be a verb in that statement like enabling, curing, developing, bridging, whatever it is.

So make sure there's an active verb at the beginning of your statement. Because you live your purpose, you don't achieve it. So when you live it, how do you live it day to day. That's why you need to have a verb to explain what you do in living that purpose. And that verb again, you need to make sure it's something a little bit generic there is not too specific into a single profession. For example, back then I used to define my purpose as training people so they can discover and live their life purpose.

However, when the grip that you use is a single profession kind of work, then you're limiting yourself from many other possibilities on the way you can live your purpose, like what I use now is enabling instead of treating as if training is the only way to get people to discover and live their life purpose. No. So make sure you use a verb, an active verb, but it's not a specific kind of profession verb. So that's the first element, what do you do? And the second element of your purpose statement needs to explain Who's your target market. So what you do and you're doing it for whom, for example, in my case, is people enabling people live people so generic, because I believe that everybody has a purpose.

That's why my target market is people because I believe every single person has the purpose However, on the other example, curing cancer patients so they can live Again, who is the target market? cancer patient? So it's it's very specific, basically think about who is your target market. And thirdly, you're doing these things for this target market for what costs are you doing it. So, for example, in my case is so they can discover and live their life purpose or so they can live healthy again. Also, they can have a loving relationship, whatever it is.

So it can be many things, basically what you do for whom and for what? Now, in order to do that, maybe you might have some ideas or maybe you don't know take a look again, at the result of your exercises in the previous parts, from exploring your passions, and then your talents as well as the issues that you care about. You can start from any of them. There is no specific rule which one you need to start first. So that being said, Get take a look at the passions and talents and issues that you care about and see where are the connections. Remember, your first statement does not have to be perfect.

In fact, it will not be perfect. Because along the way, when you start to walk your path within that purpose, you might see your purpose evolving along the way. And you might refine that purpose statement along the way. But now you have a corridor. And when I say evolving doesn't mean to change completely. But it means you will gain more clarity along the way.

Back then before my purpose statement was about how people can discover and live their life purpose, it was more about how people can fulfill their potential. But along the way as I walked through that path, and within that corridor of the topic that I care about, which one of them is education, and personal development, and then I gave more clarity along the way, that's why it might seem like it is changing, but it is not. It might seem it's evolved. It is a void. But what actually happened is you are gaining more clarity because you keep walking your time you keep using your time along the path along the corridor of the topics that you care about. And then you start using more of your talents and your passions.

So that's why it might seem like it's evolving, it's changing. But what happened again, what will happen is you gaining more clarity. So no worries, if it doesn't seem perfect, it will not be but make sure whatever it is that you start to walk your path along that statement. So to sum up, your purpose statement basically connects your issues that you care about your passions and your talents. And there are three elements in your purpose statement. One is, what is it that you do remember to have an active work, and you do it for whom Who's your target market, and you do it for what calls try to do this exercise.

And you could come up with several statements and then you can you can sleep on it. And then you can take take a look again, maybe tomorrow morning or whatever it is. But make sure again, remember to do this in a quiet environment with no distraction. And after this, we'll talk about legacy statement. I'll see you soon.
