Okay, welcome back, I'm going to show you how to find partners on LinkedIn. So we've already kind of went over how to use the search bar here, how to search for people. But now we're going to try to find partners. So we want to do the search bar, just keep this on people. And then we'll go here to advanced. Alright, so now we see here that we can search by all kinds of criteria.
Okay, so we want to use keywords to narrow our search. Okay, so let's say we're looking for somebody to partner up with an internet marketing. Let's say we're an SEO expert, but we'd like to find somebody that's really good at media buying, okay. And then maybe we want to find somebody that's really good at media buying, but not Google. We can use words like not in our searches, okay, so here you can, you can search for location. If you want to find somebody that's near you, you can do that.
You can type in your postal code. You can search by title, you can search by company. You can come down here to industries, you can search by industry. So obviously, we probably be an internet, I guess is its own industry now. See here. There she is.
Okay. I would say maybe advertising to but that's not here. Okay. So your relationship can be all LinkedIn members. First connection, second, anything you really want there. Right now let's just leave it at all.
Language, all languages, maybe just English. Me, I only know one language so obviously I'm only gonna be able to work well with people that speak my primary language. Okay? So I'll come down here and search. Alright, so we got 72 results. Okay, so now basically what you're going to do is you're going to come through here, and you're just going to check out these people.
So we got one shared connection here. Okay. So apparently the first result on here is I'm connected to one of my one of my partners here, and I just set up this account and connected with one of my partners, just to give him a recommendation basically, and to shoot this video series, but he's already connected to this person. Okay, so, I mean, that's really how crazy LinkedIn is. I mean, the degree of separation between When you and somebody want to meet, it's probably very small, okay? can be one person, probably not more than three.
You know, people it's just like an intertwined like web here. Okay? So you can go ahead and connect with this person. I could have Justin, give me an introduction, this person is probably exactly what I would do. I'd say Justin, hey, connect me to Louis. I'd like to learn more about him.
He's also an SEO expert, but he's also a media buying expert. So you know, this is this is somebody that I want to work with more closely, but I can go ahead and click on their profile. I can learn more about them. Okay, actually looks more like lewis is a mobile marketing, internet marketing SEO guy, okay. But you get the idea. Okay, you can quickly figure out through looking at somebody's profile, if it's somebody that you'd like to work with, always check that recommendations.
If you have a friend that knows them, ask your friend, you know, what's up with this guy? What's up with this girl? Are they I mean, are they good? what's what's the deal. And if you can get an introduction from somebody that you know, that knows them, it's going to help a lot and getting a potential partnership started up. It's also a great way if you're a freelancer to connect with people and offer work, you know, I mean, if you want to create some content for someone, or if you're a great web designer, if you've got a skill that you really want to utilize, you know, instead of going on elance.com, and offering up a contract bid, you can just come here to LinkedIn, connect with a bunch of people and then use those connections to get to get work, okay?
I mean, it's it doesn't have to be a partnership for a business that you're wanting to start although if you're a freelancer, you basically are running your own business. And if you partner up with the right person, you may end up in a situation where you're getting a percentage of the actual profits of the project to do your skill. So definitely Something to think about. One thing you can do once, once you do connect with this person and you guys decide to start working together, or maybe preliminarily, before you start working together, you can come here to this Google plus hangouts. And you can actually, if you have a Google account, you can actually just start a hangout and invite anybody that has a Google account through Google Plus, and most people do either from Gmail or are maybe Google AdWords or YouTube. But essentially, this is just a free chat face to face, wherever you are application where you can have basically virtual conferences are completely free.
Okay. You can broadcast your conversation all over the world, you can host virtual meetings. I mean, Google Plus is fantastic. We've had a couple meetings lately on hangouts that have done very well. You get to see all everybody, no matter what if you're in different places, you get to see everybody on your screen, they see you, and it's just really, really cool. Just be careful trying to use Google plus hangouts on your, on your Google phone when you're driving around in LA traffic, because you probably will lose a connection based on just mobile internet, not necessarily Google's fault.
But yeah, I'm just kidding, that happened to me, but I'm not really kidding. So definitely utilize Google Plus, if you if you want somebody to come on and host a webinar with you, one great way to do that would be to contact them, you know, if you have a big list or a lot of people that are coming to the webinar, say, hey, I've got, you know, 300 people coming to this webinar, you know, would you like to come on, help me with the content, you know, give us something fresh and then at the end, you can pitch your thing. Most internet marketers who have their own company, have some sort of webinar or some sort of information, they can give on a webinar, where they can pitch their thing at the end. So, you know, most people have something like that in the bank. So don't be afraid to ask people to do that for you.
Just make sure it's worth their while. Make sure you've got enough people coming. So that's why this is an advanced thing because you have to build the connection. First you've got to build the network. But this is part of it. You know, reaching out and trying to work with people is all part of building your network.
So, go ahead and utilize this advanced search. start finding people based on their credentials, and we'll see in the next video
