Okay, and then go on Facebook, ask your Facebook friends, if they're on LinkedIn, you can also post an invite on your wall, you can send an invite out to all your friends, you could create an event in LinkedIn. And then you could go on to Facebook and send that event invite to all your friends on Facebook. Okay, any of your friends that are on Facebook that are also on LinkedIn, you want to go ahead and get connected to them. You just want to build your network up as fast as you can. Okay, and then also on your profile. One thing that's really good to do is, you know, you don't always have to come up with fresh cutting edge content.
You could always become the aggregator and start sending people to other people's content. If you find a great blog, if you find a great article, or cool video, you know, sin and it's relevant to your network, send people in your network or your group to that article, you know, send them a link, put it on your profile. So hey, check this out. That's only going to create expert status for you. You're only going to become the aggregator, which basically means that even though that information came from another source, you're still going to be credited as the source for the information. So it's kind of a great way to piggyback off other people's great work.
I mean, it's not like you're just stealing their work and putting it on your own site. Basically, what you're doing is sending someone to someone else's blog, so that person still gets the traffic they still get the audience, they still get the potential list you know, if that person that you send to their blog wants to sign up for their email list or whatever, you're still giving the value, but it's a win win situation for everybody you're like we said on the webinars, you're basically getting extra content. You know, people that are are friends with you are finding cool blogs, cool articles, cool videos, they can go check out and then the other person is getting the traffic so everybody wins. It's a great technique. If you can include a LinkedIn button and your email signature, your website and your blog, etc. So do this on every platform that you have.
Always integrate on a cross platform basis. So in your emails, put your LinkedIn signature, put it on your website, put on your blog, put it on, just about everywhere, put it on Facebook, okay, anywhere you can put that LinkedIn button, I think there might even be an app on Facebook, where you can get where you can connect Facebook with LinkedIn. So you might wanna check that out. But anything you can do, you know, especially if you have a page on Facebook, you definitely want to get your followers people that like your page on LinkedIn. So you can start having a professional network and professional interaction with these people. And then finally, you want to follow companies and just benchmark their practices.
You know it, you may not know right away exactly what you want to do, or how you want to do it. But if you follow other companies, you can see how they're doing it. You can see what keywords they're using. You can see What kind of connections they have, you can see what kind of content value they're offering. And then just benchmarking. I mean, there really are no original ideas.
And it's all good. Because we all put our unique twist, we all put our spin on it, we all are focused on offering value, hopefully, and just giving the utmost value to as many people as possible. And then it's cool, okay, just I mean, don't go steal people's stuff, you know, don't go steal people's content, and never steal anybody's copy written material, images, videos or anything like that. But just, you know, following and benchmarking other companies best practices is what's been going on for forever, okay? So don't ever be afraid to do that. Don't be afraid to use things you like use and don't use things you don't and, you know, help people out go on LinkedIn answer questions, you know, give, you know, give value to people and you're never gonna go wrong.
Okay, that about wraps it up. Feel free to go back through these videos. Go back through some of these best practices and just, you know, small chunk this stuff You know, you don't have to do all this overnight. Just take one technique, take one example. Use that. Get that working well for you and then move on to the next thing.
So thanks again for watching these videos and we'll talk soon
